I think your going to be to eshausted and dehydrated to be to terribly concerned about food. It will work out. One days excesses or shortfalls do not a diet make.

Don't sweat it. Eat your 500 calories if that's what you want. One meal or even one day doesn't make or break your overall effort.

I think that it is important to remember that when you setup your account you established a "goal" of losing 1 or 2 pounds a week. The calories that you are given is already taking that 1 or 2 pound goal into account. So if say for instance MFP recommends eating 1200 calories a day then you should over time by eating those…

Wow . . . I just finished reading many of these posts and there appears to be a great amount of misunderstanding about this so here goes . . . . A gallon of water weighs 8.34 pounds - pretty heavy stuff really and most of us drink at least half a gallon a day plus the weight of the food we eat. All human bodies and this is…

Chinese food is very high in salt. Salt is composed of Sodium and Sodium in human cells is reponsible for retaining water inside of the cell membrane (remember osmosis). Two primary things are happening here and one is not. First is that you did not gain 5 pounds of fat. That would be impossible because it requires that…

Exactly! Simple mathematics. Food Eaten (Energy) - Energy Burned (Metabolism + excercise) +/- water weight = weight gained or lost

Oh my . . . If you are trying to lose weight then calories certainly do matter and there is simply no avoiding it. It is simple mathematics. What you are getting into is what constitutes HEALTHY weight loss. You see, when you limit your caloric intake you are also limiting your body's opportunity to get the nutrients it…

Sodas! I miss my Vaults, Dr. Peppers, Mountain Dew, etc. etc. I can't have them at all. One isn't enough. One becomes two, becomes three, becomes 20lbs! It's water and Tea for me!

I'm more surprised that you haven't dumped Netflix than I am that they removed something useful and worth watching from their list. I dumped them when they changed their rates and I'm NEVER going back.

Actually the problem may not be hunger . . . . it may be thirst. Dehydration will at first manifest itself as a hunger-like symptom. When you feel hungry between meals drink about a 10 to 12oz of water. That may solve your problem. If that doesn't work then break your calorie allottment into 5 or 6 meals a day. They will…

This will be the easiest question today. (1) Exercise is good for you in all kinds of ways. If you are losing weight for your health which I hope you are then exercise strenghtens your heart, it improves cognitive function, it improves the quality of your sleep, it increases the density of your bone, it builds lean muscle…

Honestly, don't stress over it. Go and celebrate whatever the occassion is and don't worry about it any further. Eat as reasonable a meal as you can and don't worry about making it up or anything of the like. One meal will not make ANY difference in your long term out come. That is a promise and I don't make promises…

It is most likely due to fluid retention. I would not be concerned about it. Keep doing what you're doing and your weight will eventually begin to fall again. It is not uncommon to hit pleateaus that your weight just seems to stick to.

Not to dismiss what the nutritionists are telling you but a calorie is a calorie is a calorie. If you consume 50 calories and then burn 50 calories you are at net of zero. They certainly know your specific situation better than any of us but I can tell you that I have been eating my calories back (for the most part) and…

WOW . . . you went from NOT . . . . . to . . . . . . HOT!!!! enuf said.

Sounds like one of two things: 1. You're not taking in enough calories; or 2. You are moderately dehydrated. It is important to eat a little something (not a meal) about 10 to 15 minutes prior to your workout and you should be drinking water before during and after your workout. If you don't do these two things you could…

Honestly, you don't need for us to pat you on the head and tell you it's okay. You didn't do this to us . . . you let yourself down. I don't mean for this to sound harsh because yes, I've been there, we all have but you must get control of your emotional eating if you are going to be successful. A few things: 1. Are you…

Dude!!! What are you talking about?? I can see a HUGE difference! Great Job.

It is sometimes difficult for people to mention that they think you've lost weight because to mention it is to in some strange way verbally acknowledge that you were over-weight to begin with. This is particularly true of most men who usually will avoid this topic with women at all costs!

Yes. You will notice that your clothing is noticeably tighter and it will definitely affect your scale weight. Water is heavy.
