Starting again this week, like 50andhappy8464 I lost weight easily before. The problem is you think its easy so don't stress about putting it back on. I'm 6ft, and 4 years ago I went from 289lb to 216lb in a year (5st in 5 months, rest in remaining 7). Since stopping my weight has increased through things like indulging in…

You look great man, a lot younger now. I'm going through a similar change and hoping to get normal bmi within a month or so. What are your plans now you've reached your goal? How are you making the most of the new you?

Before I started mfp I used to do cardio at the gym for 1-3 hours a week, eat healthily, but my weight slowly crept up to 289lb. Joined MFP because I needed to change something!! I started MFP and set my goal to 100lb (184lb being the border between healthy & overweight BMI), people thought I was mad to try that much, and…

wow you look very good

Congrats. I'm at 201lb and looking forward to one-derland

There were times I didn't lose and times I put on a bit, but I just looked at the overall tend to keep me going.

Thanks. Chuffed with it so far. Averaging 2lb/wk.

43 and now got the same waist I last had in my mid-20's, another size down and it will be when I was 21 B-) . Got less hair now though :-( If anyone wants to friend, just request it :-)

Tried both apps. The one by Guy was too limited you had to run out complete. The one by run double is more flexible in allowing you to skip sections (so if already warmed up, e.g. from other cardio), and other things. Depends what you want out of an app. You can also get audio mp3 at sites like nhs as an alternative to…

I'm happy to accept friends, if you like :). Joined July 2011. lost 5 stone in 5 months Now its a case of how to lose the final 20 and get trim to pull in the slack.

When I first started losing weight via the MFP app decided to join the forum and my username is the amount I arbitrarily decided on losing (nice round number, takes my BMI to "normal")

Samsung galaxy s2 (and currently using it to post to the forum). Had it for a year and deciding whether to upgrade or just stick with it as it's a great phone

Should say 780lb (was typing on my mobile, lol). Still, almost 4 times my middleweight :-)

All good advice, it is a case of being extra careful if larger (I did a knee tendon injury a decade ago when I was 19st after few months of building treadmill jogging into my regime). I'm on week 3 of c25k and enjoying it, though I may look at that 10K thing next

My legs are good, now pushing 4 sets of 20 reps at 980lb (building up to the half ton lol) but my upper body isn't. Since I've been on calorie deficit my upper body has weakened (probably as I've concentrated on cardio) and I now seem to do a good 10-20lb less than a year ago (though my muscle-fast ratio is far different).…

Does that mean that at some point out might mean changing to maintaining calorie diet?

Hello from Yorkshire

Newer clothes, gone from a XXL top 42" Jeans to M top 34" Jeans, and although I originally said I wouldn't buy new until I got down to my right size, needed to.

I did 5 stone in 5 months, took Christmas/January off. Now back on it. As my user name suggests I want to lose 100lb, which people told me (still tell me!!) is too ambitious. July 2011 286lb Dec 2011 216lb Feb 2012 206lb Full size image http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/339/weightjulyfeb.jpg

The scales are only one form of measurement, so looking at others is good too. So keep track of your waist, etc as well as weight. I have them all on a spreadsheet, sometimes my weight doesn't move even though I've slogged it at the gym, but I'll notice that I've changed on body measurements

Add me if you like. I tend to come and go on this site, but can always try to help. Got into MFP last July losing via calorie based diet control and exercise. Not following any specific diet though. Seem to be doing okay, though slowed down in 2012 (10lb in 10 weeks rather that 2011's 5 stone in 5 months) because life's…

Feel free to add me

That I've lost weight (it's still a before photo)

Great NSV :-) it is hard getting out of the mindset. I'm doing the C25K and wanted a light fleece for cold mornings, having previously been a XL/XXL I was about getting used to been in a large, but they were out of stock of that size in the store I went to (unless I wanted an expensive one), but the assistant asked if it…

Missed the pics, lol. Way to go, isn't it great to go from a self conscious cover up to at ease showing some skin? When I reached 60lb I was of on holiday and went on the beach without at shirt on, it felt great, first time I'd done it in over decade
-
People have already suggested the ones I was going to :-) but there are others I hadn't heard of. It'd be great if people mention where get stuff from (unless its normal supermarket)
-
So how many of you, who've shed a fair chunk of weight still have the mindset of the old you?
-
Used to be all the time, log all meals etc. lost 70lb (or 5st) in 5 months. Rarely use now and just lost another half stone, so might start logging again.

Lol, have noticed my pop floats more on days when I've eat more dairy theed previous day, never thought it was a good thing, now loo know thanks
