It's having some sort of funny over the last few days. I hope they fix it soon because it's getting annoying! Several days this week it looks like I ate too much, when I didn't.

Hello. I burn about 3000 plus calories a day depending on what I'm doing (according to my ki fit I burned almost 4000 yesterday). I'm pretty fat and more interested in sustainability than speed with my weight loss. So I am eating about 2000 or a bit over very often. My recent efforts are centered on eating fewer carbs…

Really? Almost no-one dies of disease in the East? WTVF?

I started at 2 minutes last week. I'm up to 4 minutes now. I know this will sound like nothing to some people but after my various injuries and problems I'm pleased with it. (The bicycle and the treadmill I can do for much longer, but the running movement was beyond me to start with.) It's at the gym so I can't just hop on…

If their moobs are well formed ;) Anyway must go, beating my breast in sorrow about my non egg timer shape...

Mmmmm takeaway. I find now that I just can't eat as much as I once would have done. So I order what I fancy and stop when I am full. We're planning one for Friday night. Treat!

Great active shots - and the difference really shows.

Celtic Advent (40 days long, to mirror Lent) starts on the 15th November. So then there is every excuse to start being Christmassy! I have a stack of things just waiting...

I mix my water with tea and milk. Or with carbon dioxide and various noxious sounding substances that make it taste good.

Fantastic.

Knowledge is power. For me, it suggests that I will need to keep charting my food to maintain weight, not think I'll diet and then be "cured". Also it encourages me that I have done really well to get as far as I have.

Hello and welcome. You'll do fine. Take it easy, don't go mad, this is a long term plan to get you healthy not a quick fix fad diet. Personally I felt better just for taking some control of the situation. Look forward to seeing how you get on.

Just bumping to reply. I have had a ki fit for about 3 weeks now. It is very interesting. The downside is that I burn more calories than I expected, so it has been an excuse to eat more! Allegedly I have burnt just over 3000kcal a day on average for the last fortnight. (So why isn't getting thin easy?!) Anyhow, good fun…

Well done the pair of you. You look like people I would be friends with in both sets. But you've done yourselves proud for your health in the second.

Bravado Original Double Plus Nursing/Maternity Bra - marvellous stuff.
-
Good plan. Diabetes here too; add me if you'd like.
-
Hurray! That's fab! Not least as being on insulin makes it harder to lose weight. Well done.

Ah well done. I bought a new bike about 2 months ago. I dislocated my kneecap in March and even getting on it was rather precarious. But yesterday, with both my BMI and my age A fair bit over 40, I cycled 12 miles, along with my husband and my 6 year old daughter. Feeling proud today.
-
Oh well done, that's great. You've put a lot of hard work into this.

There's something wrong with that nursing calories calculator, they've not taken into account the tins of Quality Street, lol. Can you just change you basal activity level on MVP (eg to active) so it works it out for you rather than trying to add it as activity each day? (or wear a hrm for a day and see?)

Almonds sound good in general but I'd have to eat 150g to get enough carbs which is 750 odd calories. Cheese also a good snack but no carbs in it and that's what I need just for this one point in the day.
-
Thanks for the ideas. I do need carbs in my late morning snack (eg about 30g) or I will go hypoglycaemic. (I have diabetes) I just want them as low GI as I can get them.
-
That really is amazing. Well done that woman.
-
I like it. Obviously it's only a spot projection but gives you an idea of what would happen if you did that day every day. Some days would lead to fast loss, others not so much, lol. In terms of long term predictive accuracy I've found the average of the predictions pretty good too.
-
Well done that woman!

I'm on the third month of it. I think it's a good and healthy way to get going. I'm starting to substitute more and more with "normal" food as time goes on. It's good for busy days and packed lunches. Hope you get on well with it.
-
Well done that woman! Great stuff!
-
You sound realistic about what it might be like. There are 6 billion of us already. You don't have to have any ;) (it's lovely in an "ok no life of my own then" kind of way.)
-
Oh well done! Sounds like we're on a similar journey. Can't wait to get tonwherebyou are!

Just sending more gentle hugs. Try and relax a bit if you can; destress. Get in a routine a bit. Today is all you need to do today. Psychotherapy is great if you can afford it.
