hi there.
i want to order a Indian takeaway tomorrow night but unsure what to have:huh:
i was thinking maybe a chicken sagg? or maybe tandoori chicken(the one without the sauce)?
i have no idea how many calories any would be as can't find them on here.
any help or suggestions on what to have and how many calories it is, i would be very grateful.
thankyou:flowerforyou:

if you're ordering out or going out to eat, i personally would recommend you not worry about calories and eat food that you want to eat and get back on track tomorrow. even if you were to go over your maintenance for the day, it's not a big deal if you get back on track0 -
f you want to choose healthy options, avoid creamy curries like korma or tikka masala, try to get something with tomato rather than creamy sauce, chicken saag would be a good choice as it has no cream, protein in the chicken and veggie portions from the spinach and tomato sauce.
get boiled rice instead of pilau / fried rice and chapatti instead of naan.
try and avoid fried items like poppadoms or bhajis.
or you could just do extra exercise that day and eat smaller portions of the 'bad' options!
if i have takeaway / restaurant food, i try and find the nearest thing in the database (there is quite a lot listed under 'indian restaurant') and then enter larger portions than I actually had to be on the safe side!0 -
I agree with the above. I think you should treat yourself every now and then. Denying yourself what you want will make you either want it more or hate the fact that you can't have it and put you in a generally bad mood.
You can work it all off again the next day
I just ordered and ate a take-away because a) I hadn't had a takeaway in about 2 months or so and had cravings b) im stressed from doing uni work and wanted some comfort food that i didnt have to cook c)i have no food in my fridge
Just order what you like! IF it makes you happy at the time, then you will feel happier about working it off because you know it was all worth it!
Good luck!:flowerforyou:0 -
Mmmmm takeaway.
I find now that I just can't eat as much as I once would have done. So I order what I fancy and stop when I am full.
We're planning one for Friday night. Treat!0
