Hi ladies, I am in the same boat (although not an RN!) I started my first dose of Saxenda today and haven't felt any reactions so far - positive or negative. We'll see what the next week brings. This will be my third time losing a significant amount of wait and I also have my issues with binge eating and emotional eating.…

I stopped taking it due to depression (which I normally do not have) and extreme constipation. Hope others have better luck!
-
Same here with dreams although they have lessened after a week for me!
-
Yes, you need a prescription.

I have also had vivid/strange dreams! The first week it was a lot, but by the end of the week it had lessened. I've only been on Contrave for a week, but so far, so good. I have really lost an interest in sweets, candy in particular. I am starting two pills a day today and hope the feelings of "control" continue. My…

My goal is to also lose 100 lbs this year - good luck to all!

How's it going so far for you? Read your profile and I'm in the same boat - lost 90 lbs over two years using MFP and counting calories - but then I moved, changed jobs, got married, and am mostly sedentary PLUS went back to using food as an emotional crutch. I am only on day 2 of Contrave, but it seems to be helping me…

Just started yesterday - so far, so good.

I started on Monday and have lost 5 lbs (okay, mostly water weight but still!). I am not doing atkins 20, but more like atkins 40. Anyway, looking forward to connecting!

Thanks for the bridal bootcamp tip!
-
I think everyone is right - I feel better already setting a goal at 30 and not 50.

Thanks everyone. Yes, I would be happy with 25-30 lbs - anything to look a bit trimmer in my wedding pics!! I am curious about trying to lose weight without exercise. I have lost a considerable amount of weight in the past (70+ lbs) and always did it with diet and exercise - usually around 1,200 calories per day and a half…

I would like to join, thanks!

That's great - sounds like you're doing the right stuff! I have always wanted to get a slow cooker. I think I'll have to try one now!

Hey all - I'm in the same place. I went from over 250 lbs to my lowest weight of 165 last November and now I'm back around 215. My GW is 154.

Hi all, Thank you SO MUCH for these kind and helpful words. I hadn't logged onto see replies in awhile and I am so glad that I did. I have started logging again (if a bit irregularly) and I am working on exercise. I am trying to retrain my brain to take other measures (e.g. choose other/healthier foods and exercise) when I…

Good luck. I had to LOL when I saw this as the first topic on the forum because my name is also Kara...so you can do it from a fellow Kara!

Awesome, you are such an inspiration - as all the others have said! Way to go!!

Just awesome. WAY TO GO!

Thanks everyone! :)

AWESOME!!!

Excited to see this group! Just finished my first 5K (The Color Run) in Philly on July 14 in about 32 minutes - I was super happy about that! So, I signed up for my first 10K in Atlantic City in October - and then *maybe* a half in Phoenix in March depending on how the 10K goes - we shall see. I'm super excited! Running…

Thanks guys!!

Thanks guys - I spoke to my gyno and decided to stop taking it and just focus on diet and exercise. A little bummed because I thought it would help with my insulin levels and getting these to a healthy level but I am NOT willing to feel like this! I found a research paper online that said a small group of people…

Thanks guys - this has been really helpful! :) And congrats to all those who have lost weight - you are such an inspiration to me.

I was just diagnosed with PCOS after being tested for it three times since I was 12. I'm 35 now - took them alng time to finally figure it out! It's so great seeing this post. I have lost over 60 lbs since january 2012 (I have been overweight since childhood) but i am inspired by the low carb diet. The only problem for me…

Thanks to all my MFP friends for support - it really helps! Yes, I am starting to feel a lot lighter and that's great - also great not to have to squeeze into the largest size in the store. I think I am really starting to believe I will actually reach my goal weight. Hurrah!
-
Oops - sorry - since January of last year (2012) I've lost 60 lbs...I think going slow has been key to long-term changing of my eating habits (I've been overweight since I was little) - now here's to losing more and keeping it off FOR GOOD!
-
fixed! :)

Yesterday was my first day and honestly it was great. I felt a little hungry, but not starving. I ate the same grams of protein on a "regular" day so I think that helped to stabilize my blood sugar. I also jogged when I got home - I felt super hyper at night - that was the only real noticeable difference. Oh, and the scale…
