  • I'm struggling too. It must be the change of seasons. My husband brought home pizza the other day. All we wanna do is bake cookies and eat them! Must be strong!!!!! (feel very weak) MUST be strong!!!
  • I could use some advice in this area as well. It is hard to get through the holidays without adding a few pounds back on. Thanksgiving, I just go for it, enjoy my meal but not the left overs. And that hasn't caused me too much trouble. It's just the one day really. It is the Christmas food that lasts for a whole month that…
  • I agree. Grieve first, then diet. It's ok.
  • I can feel the change of seasons creeeping up on me too. My family is downstairs baking cookie-brownies, and I am on MFP trying to figure out how many I can eat, and only go over a little! Then I happened along your post. No matter what keep logging. Allow yourself to be human, and have ups and downs. That is normal, and…
  • Absolutely YES!
  • I am interested in answers to this as well. I reached my goal today. I changed the goals in the program to maintain current weight, and it says I can eat 1590 calories a day. I am terrified to eat that much! I have been eating 1200 a day for about 70 days!
  • I agree, pick something and have a small piece. I had a piece of chololate birthday cake the other day. It was so sweet, it kinda grossed me out. It didn't taste as good as it used to. I was very surprised. Now I don't want it anymore though. I won't crave cake for quite some time. Hang in there,
  • We make chicken tacos in the crock Pot. 2-4 Frozen chicken breasts, 1 Medium jar of pace salsa. 4 hours high or 6 hours low. Use a fork to shred it up, and serve on flour tortillas with lettuce reduced fat cheese. easy to calculate calories, and Yummy!
  • I always log my dinner before I eat my lunch. That way I know how many calories I can have for lunch and snacks. Since I cook dinner for my whole family, it is not as flexible as my lunch. And I like to know early in the day if I get to have a skinny cow later, so I can look forward to it!
  • AWESOME!!!!!
  • That does sound like a good choice! I am on it!
  • For me, I have noticed that I always got down, down, up, down, down, up. At first it freaked me out, but i am starting to get used to it and expect it. Stick with it! You can do it!
  • Yes! Thanks for your service! We are very grateful. Good luck on your wieght loss. I think you will like the site. I really love it. And the logging of your food gets easier every day, as you build up a list of things you eat often. Best Wishes,
  • TORTA DE HUEVO Roasted Portabella mushroom, crispy cornmeal pocket filled with egg and topped with goat cheese or chorizo over chipotle cabbage salad. I would guess this one is the sensible one. Anyone else want to take a guess? They all sound good, but I have no idea how you would count it in your food diary! Have…
  • So great that you are logging what you eat. If you can do that, you can do it all. The logging is the hardest part. The rest is a fun challenge. To find the yummiest low cal thing thing you can have is like a treasure hunt. My family likes to eat out, and it makes me get more creative. I drink Diet soda because it fills in…
  • Your doctor knows what is best, and I know you are probably anxious to lose those extra pounds, but I did not diet at all while breastfeeding- and still lost weight. Bresat feeding on it's own is like dieting. Be careful.
  • Well, my first thoughts are- When I eat the MCDonalds grilled chicken sandwiches, I gain. So I am very suspicious of their calorie count. I have decided not to get it anymore. I do better with a light Jamba juice, and still get full. When I eat bread everyday, I have a problem, even if I am under my calories. And where are…
  • I have felt that way. But for me, it is more of a personality issue. When I do things, I really do it! When it comes to dieting and being successful, it is rewarding, so it becomes a problem. For me, it is more about the successful feeling of coming in at my calorie count each day and seeing the scale in the morning, than…
  • In our house, we try to only have healthy food, and healthy snacks. That way my kids can eat as much as they want with only healthy results. Or I will tell my kids you can have 1 cookie, and all the carrots, and apples you want. No chips, no fruit snacks, no soda for our kids. It is important for kids to not be hungry. So…
  • I also have hypo-thyroidism; I have for 10 years. There are various opinions about what level is normal, and at what level people feel good. You need to know your TSH level, not just "normal". Get the the number and write it down, and write down how you feel at that number. Do that each time you get results. Keep a log,…
