  • There are a lot of strength training exercises you can do using your body weight only. Lots of YouTube help out there without the cost of the gym membership. However, you can pick up inexpensive hand weights just about anywhere when you feel you're ready to add that to your routine.
  • You might want to try a group class, toning, sculpting, pump, zumba? It helps fight the boredom and gives you an all over body workout. Not to say that biking is bad, but if you can do it at home, spread your wings while at the gym. You might find something you love more than biking. ;-) Good Luck!
  • I took a look at your food diary and it looks like you are going over your allotted calories everyday. Do you exercise at all? If your goal is to lose weight you have to have a calorie deficit. Sugar and sweets wont break the bank as long as you fit them within your daily calorie intake. Just remember that 3500 calories =…

  • Mine is open, I love to eat! ;-) Feel free to add me!
  • Feel free to view my diary. I'm just the opposite I guess, lunch is usually my largest meal. It keeps me fueled for my 60-90 minutes workouts in the afternoon.
  • This is a great link to help you get started on your new life. No more yo-yo dieting. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/931670-bmr-and-tdee-explained-for-those-needing-a-guide Log EVERYTHING you eat (even if it's not so good), it will give you an idea of how many calories you've been eating. Exercise is a must, even…
  • Mmmmmmm, love me some Blackened Salmon!
  • I usually eat back 1/2 of mine. I want to refuel my body, but also consistently lose small amounts of weight. However, my ultimate goal is to be healthy.
  • First of all, the word "diet" should not be in your vocabulary. It's a lifestyle change, which means you are always modifying (to an extent) your calorie intake and exercise once you get to the point you want to maintain. It always changes depending on your activity level. Unless you are a tiny person to begin with, no…
  • I have stretch marks from my 3 children, but after getting my stomach back into shape, I have no problems wearing my bikini, stretch marks and all! If people are going to judge you for your stretch marks, then you don't need them in your life. Simple as that!
  • I always seem to weigh less in the morning? Not sure why, but that's when I consistently weigh myself, it makes me feel better. ;-)
  • You should be eating between your BMR and TDEE. However, to lose weight you need a calorie deficit lower than your TDEE. If you increase your activity, it will help you lose weight faster.
  • I'm a Staff Accountant by day and Zumba Instructor by night! ;-) Definitely helps keep me in shape since I sit all day.
  • Any workout clothes you feel comfortable in. Comfortable shoes (the older the better), less tread will help you move a little better. Definitely a sports bra, lots of jumping and shaking! Also, being a Zumba instructor, neon colors are a must! ;-) Have fun, you'll love it!
  • Tough Love! Sometimes we all need a kick in the pants to get us going! The best motivation is to stop making excuses and just do it. Go for a walk, log EVERYTHING you eat. Maybe seeing your exercise and food diary in black and white will help. Good Luck!
  • Rather than running yourself into the ground, take a run outside or on the treadmill. Exercise is the best anti-depressant and stress reliever! Good Luck!

  • Welcome! Please feel free to add me! Good Luck!
  • Check out this post, it explains how to eat more and weigh less. It's hard to wrap your head around, but it actually works! Good Luck! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/931670-bmr-and-tdee-explained-for-those-needing-a-guide I have a hard time reaching my goal at times, I'm never hungry!
  • I love my sweets and wine, but I can usually fit it in my calories for the day. However, the more you eat sweets, the more you crave them. I had two chip ahoy brownie filled cookies yesterday. It satisfied my craving, but I didn't eat the whole bag. Most of the time I eat high protein foods that keep me full. Almonds,…
  • Good luck with your journey! Please feel free to add me! I love lifting and cardio! Also love my vino! :-)
  • Lifting is the best anti-depressant out there.....and it's free! It's supposedly the endorphins that are released while working out? I don't care, I know I feel better physically and mentally!
  • Hi Kate, I log daily, feel free to add me! Good Luck!
  • This should definitely a lifestyle change, not a diet. Diets are a short term, if you stop the diet, the weight comes back. Make small changes to start. Opt for healthier choices, log EVERYTHING you eat, whether it's good or bad. If you eat that cupcake (which I love), you will see it in black and white and realize it's…
  • Most women have a BMR between 1400-1600 if they are sedentary to lightly active. However, MFP asks how many lbs a week you would like to lose, so it sets their calorie intake automatically to 1200. Most people don't have the understanding that if you workout you need to refuel your body. They are only worried about losing…
  • Hello, I mix strength training and cardio 4-5 days a week, I can tell the difference in my body. I am more toned and just feel healthier. I'm 5'6" and weigh 151 lbs, but I'm not one to pay attention to the scale as long as I look and feel good in my clothes. ;-) Just sent a friend request! You may also want to join the…
  • A lot of great support here! Good Luck!
  • When I make things from scratch, I just list each ingredient separately. Yes, it's more time consuming, but if it's something you eat often, once you put it in, it's saved. Or, you can figure out how many calories/fat/carbs are in each recipe, then build it from there per serving and call it-Homemade chicken salad?

  • Great idea to plan ahead if you know what your eating habits are. Choose nuts, yogurt or something healthy (or not, it your calories allot).....lol Doesn't really matter what or what time as long as it's in your calories for the day.

  • Welcome! Even if you eat stuff that's not so great, log it anyway! Sometime the truth hurts when you see it in fine print. ;-) Most of the people here are here for a reason and will give you useful advice, you just have to reach out for it. Good Luck!
  • If your Dr. recommends it, then so be it under strict supervision. However, this is a quick fix solution for a short period of time. Do you plan on eating this way the rest of your life? It will be short lived life at that rate.
