Your BMR is:1412 Your TDEE is:1695
Those are the numbers I came up with. I used no exercise.
Forgive me for being so dim but is the TDEE# the amount I should be eating?

I see, okay, that makes sense.
So, do you think 1400 calories is okay to lose? It's a deficit but not by much.0 -
1400 is too low, imo.
1525 would be ideal.0 -
You should be eating between your BMR and TDEE. However, to lose weight you need a calorie deficit lower than your TDEE. If you increase your activity, it will help you lose weight faster.0

Per the ticker on your profile, you have a little over 40 pounds to lose so a 20% deficit from your TDEE would be fine BUT as was stated above, you don't want to go below your BMR so I'd go with 1450.
That said, if you do start exercising in the future, make sure you either recalculate your TDEE or log the exercises here on MFP and eat back at least half of the extra calories earned.0 -
You guys are great! Thanks!!0
