  • There is a definite correlation!! I gained 40 lbs when I started dating a guy in my past!! I figured out that it was because he took me out to eat all the time and I stopped working out! After we broke up I lost 20lbs and am fighting to get the last 20 off lol! If your girl is complaining about you working out just show…
  • I am training for my first one ever and it is on October 22nd. I am a very inexperienced runner and somewhat out of shape but my goal is to be able to jog it without stopping!! Good luck to you on your adventure!!
  • I have the same problem as well, and as I put on weight it was more of a problem. My trainer suggested Asics I love them and they have helped ALOT! My shins still get sore from time to time, but I also stop mid run to stretch out my ankles, shins and calves and the pain has lessened quite a bit. I hope this helps. :)
  • You sound like you are doing great with the cardio! Now try to add in weights. It doesn't have to be much but a personal trainer I was seeing a while back said that if you are building muscle by doing weight lifting machines you will burn more calories just resting then you would if you weren't doing them. Muscle burns…
  • Thank you for the advice. The problem is sometimes I don't even hit 800, but I feel great and feel full at most meals. I hope that is not too bad as long as my body is still running with plenty of energy! There are times however that I do feel low on fuel so I eat a snack and usually feel better.
  • That is EXACTLY what happened to me!!! The time frame of 3 years AND the exact 40lbs lol!!! I am ready to be skinny again too!! :)
  • Welcome and good luck!! I love this site and I keep it as my home page so every time I get online I have to see my profile and it reminds me...."what have I done today that is going to get me to my goals?"
  • Thank you! I will take your advice and run with it :) Balance9...thank you for the compliment! I agree, I do need to keep it more simple...I like your ideas.. Azdak...I wondered that myself...I felt like I was working hard, but not hard enough to be burning the calories it was saying I was burning. I just went with it…
  • I didn't do a calorie count on it, I really don't know how to do that other than reading the labels on the chicken, everything else I am not sure how to figure out. If you know how to please share lol :)
  • Thanks for posting the calories!!
  • This happens to me when I run as well. I spoke to a personal trainer about it and she suggested better running shoes with more absorption, ice, and stretching. I find that if I stop every 5 minutes or so to do this certain stretch before continuing on my run it helps decrease the after effects sooooo much! Ice idea- Take a…
  • I don't, I guess I should check that out next time. I assume they are fairly low :)

  • Thank you all! Those are some great ideas!
  • I agree with most of the other members, cheating on purpose is really not a great idea. Of course you want to enjoy life and all, but I would decide how well you know yourself and how likely you think it will be that you STAY off the wagon after cheating. If you can go out for a burger 1 night a month and get right back to…
  • I made this the other day and it was soooo great! Low fat and full of flavor! My daughter ate it right up and she is such a picky eater!! She even loved the extra cilantro on top! 4 Chicken Breasts- Thawed, trimmed etc. 3/4 or 1 full onion cut long way 2 Tbsp fresh minced garlic 1/4 cup fresh squeezed lime juice 2-3 Tbsp…
  • Thank you! Good luck with yours! Yes I was so worried about gaining the weight back that I got super depressed and sabotaged my own diet! I figured since I can't get out of bed I am just going to eat junk food...bad idea lol...but I only gained 2lbs back so I didn't cause too much harm!
  • Thanks all! I think I will def try light walking...the swimming however might be painful though. I just hope I can get better by summer
  • Thanks :) I have a gym membership and they have the bikes, that is kind of what I was thinking too...hope it will help. I am so frustrated because I am a runner...I love to get pumped from my music and run hard, so it will be a change of pace but better than nothing!
  • Hi! I am actually on day 1 of quitting lol! I have been successful in the past but always start back up...dumb I know lol! I took Chantix at one time and it made me really really nauseous and for me didn't curb the cravings. I think the reason we gain weight when we quit is we snack more so try to keep alot of healthy…
