  • The hubs and I both love this show.......When we first watched it we didn't expect much, not really into the zombie thing, but this show is different! Can't wait for season 3!
  • Bolthouse Farms dressings are AMAZING!
  • I can't take a multivitamin without puking.....The Dr's told me it was something in the binding agent they use, and it's actually not that uncommon. They do make adult gummy vitamins.
  • I always had fun doing Tae-Bo. If you don't feel like your ready for INsanity, P90X or TurboFire, maybe something like TurboJam would work for you also.
  • Did you try on the Moving Comfort "Fiona" It's holds better then their other styles. Under Armour has one that just came out, but I can't remember the name of the stye. Also Shock Absorber any style that is level 4.
  • I try and get it in in the morning......I wear a BodyMedia Fit (worn for 3 years) and I took notice that on days when I exercised in the morning I burned about 200-300 more calories a day, even when burning the same amount of calories during the workout itself. What really matters is that you do it, and you have to find a…
  • I have a few Jillian Micheals DVD's and can't stand them.....she drives me insane, but everyone is different. When I did P90X after the first few weeks I had to mute Tony, but still loved the workouts. Chalene Johnson (TurboFire, TurboJam, Chalean Extreme) just doesn't annoy me and somehow motivates me.....time and time…
  • Then I would lean more towards something like P90X or Chalean Extreme. They are better combinations of both. Insanity is pretty much pure cardio, TurboFire is mostly cardio, but does have some core/sculpting days. I have done both P90X and Chalean Extreme and I prefer Chalean Extreme, it's geared more towards women (IMO)
  • Hip Hop Abs really fun, I like Shaun T. Insanity is totally insanity and should whip you into good Cardio shape. My favorite workout though is TurboFire. It's fun. Chalean Extreme is also a good program. Are you looking for cardio workouts or cardio/strength training workouts?
  • I've done all of these and they are all great programs, but my fav is TurboFire! Its the only program I haven't had to force myself to finish....
  • Definately two different monsters. I loved Insanity. The first time I did a workout I totally thought I missed the warm-up, that in and of itself was enough to kick my butt.
  • I have 5 pair that I wear in rotation, and I replace one pair every couple of months.....I watch for the wear on the treads and how they feel as I run. I have some shoes that need replaced after just a few hundred miles, and some that have lasted around 700.....
  • Since everyone is different I would strongly suggest you either get a HRM (heart rate monitor) with a chest strap, or something like a fitbit/bodymedia fit/bodybugg. I rarely burn the same amount of calories doing the exact same workout day to day. Depends on my effort and intensity.
  • TurboJam is fantastic, but if you want something a little higher intensity I love my TurboFire! It's just a little bit dancy, not as dancy as Zumba, has mostly cardio with a few toning/core dvds.
  • I would go with your HRM. YogaX is no joke!

  • These sound yummy......Might have to try these tomorrow morning. Yummy!
  • I have no problems with coffee......I personally can't drink it anymore because I can't stand it black and find myself addicted the sweet and frothy versions.
  • Hang in there! Most of my weight loss with INsanity happened in the second month. Are you only eating 1500 cals? That may not be enough, If I remember correctly I believe the book suggest somewhere along 1800. Make sure you are drinking lots of water also.....I cannot stress what a difference it can make. Also try tracking…
  • How is your breathing? Even and steady or huffy and puffy? If I don't steady my breathing then I get side stitches.....The trick for me is chewing gum. It keeps my breathing steady without thinking about it anymore. Also make sure you stay hydrated all throughout the day.......
  • I gave up Soda about a year ago......and about a month ago now I cut out coffee also. The only reason I really cut the coffee is I can't drink it black and I use a TON of flavored creamers. I do still drink tea though.

  • Insanity is one workout I prefer to do barefoot.
  • I have done some the Jillian Micheals DVD's but not a fan. I like a lot of the Beachbody workouts, My fav is TurboFire, then INsanity, p90X ,Chalean Extreme. I also still like some of the Tae-Bo Dvd's for a change of pace.
  • Sounds good! I live right off of 65, not far from County Line. I am constantly at the Target/Meijers/Menards on Southport. I have 6 kids, 2 high school, 2 middle school and 2 in elementary.
  • I'm outside of Indy....in Greenwood.
  • What type of exercise are you doing.....Running shoes tend to do that to me if I wear them for things like TurboFire, Insanity, etc. Whether you are running or doing another type of exercise I would go to a Running Store (our local is called the Blue Mile) and get properly fitted. They can help with shoes for all types of…
  • Do not weigh in on different scales. It can be very frustrating. Pick one scale and stick with it. If you want to test your scale, take a dumb bell, or even an unopened bag of sugar, flour, etc. and weigh it. Then adjust your weight accordingly.

  • My favorite thing to do is to make chocolate shakeology (you can do the same thing with chocolate protein powder) add 1/2 C vanilla greek yogurt, 1 C unsweetened Almond milk, 1 tsp of Peanut Butter and enough Ice in the blender so it is thick like a milkshake. Always curbs my sweet tooth. When I was trying to wean myself…
  • When I absolutely need something I go with Stevia.......but we very rarely use anything at all anymore.
  • For me it was towards the end of the 5th week, that it really seemed to start coming off in regular intervals. Plus I know whenever I start to up my calories it usually take my body a few weeks to adjust before I start losing again....HTH!
  • Try the refrigerated Silk brand milk. I think it tastes so much better......
