  • I have one, and I LOVE mine, too! I bought the BodyBugg plus the digital display for $245 and it was worth every penny (in my opinion). It's WONDERFUL seeing exactly how much you burn! I don't use their website (I use this one, lol) for tracking my food or anything because I think their's is nothing in comparison to MFP,…
  • I just got a BodyBugg (accurately counts how many calories you burn throughout the day, plus how many steps you take, etc. when worn 23 hrs/day) about a week and a half ago and I LOVE IT! I don't know much about heart rate monitors, but this thing is amazing! It would be an awesome Christmas present - you should look it up…
  • I used to have boobs that looked like grapefruits hanging in tube socks (after nursing three amazing children)... Now I look like I have small oranges hanging in tube socks... :/ I don't mind losing the boobs as long as the tummy, thighs, and butt go along with them! :)
  • Way (weigh?) to go! ;) If I don't weigh in (because I know I did bad) it usually just extends the bad behavior for another week instead of helping me get back on track. Way to be accountable to yourself, too, sometimes that's the hardest thing to do! That's awesome!!!
  • When I was at about 220 lbs (at size 20) I started my journey to becoming healthy. I would do "Walk Away The Pounds" with light weights (3 lbs) in my hands and that was a really good workout. They have a one mile, a three mile and a five mile so you start slow and set goals for the rest. Good luck! :)
  • You have no idea. ;)
  • Literally just choked on my water - "Sounds like TOM is one lucky guy..." Bwahahaha! (TOM stands for "Time Of Month...")
  • That's a great way to put it (gas/trash)! I love it! Yesterday when I was going grocery shopping with my kids, I was carefully reading the ingredients and would (more often than not) put it back on the shelf - well, my 7 year old son finally just said, "Mom, PLEASE just stop reading the back!" Anyway, I think the gas or…
  • I've always thought there needed to be a universal *sarcastic* font... ;)
  • I hate (HATE!!!) the "self-talk" I speak to myself after going "off plan" a bit, it's SOOOO destructive! That's awesome that you could turn a potentially horrible situation and (even after driving there!) finish out a great day! Way to go!!! I know how difficult that can be!
  • I weigh everyday, but only "log" my weight once a week. I like to see the number daily (I'm sort of type-A), but I don't really give a second thought about it until it's on the my actual "weigh-in" day.
  • I had to laugh at the thought of being to skinny for a certain age. :) I'm 5' 2 3/4'' 30 year old Mama, and my goal is set for 140 (which is 21 lbs away) but I can honestly see where a lot more than that could come from, so it's my ultimate goal...for now. :) I have 3 kids (and even though I'd love to adopt someday, I…
  • I weigh myself everyday and I get frustrated, too (but I try to turn that frustration into motivation). I've found that I usually stay the same weight on the scale (or go up slightly) for a week and a half and then it FINALLY drops 2- 2 1/2 lbs. Then it stays at that weight for another week or two and then the scale moves…
  • I would HONESTLY think, "Awesome - good for them!" I think we put a lot more stock in what we *think* other people are thinking about us. They probably aren't even thinking anything! And if they are? Who cares. You're not doing it for them, you're doing it for you! If they do think negative thoughts then that's on them,…
  • Haha! Edited to add: I meant to quote the reply above mine about the stones - that's too funny!
  • My phone is way too old-school for that, but my best friend has that app on hers. It always cracks me up when she says stuff like, "My phone says I'm supposed to start in 3 days" or something - and amazingly it's usually right on the money!
  • I posted this for someone else who was having a hard time today, too, because it has helped me many-a-times when I'm feeling down about my decisions in my weight loss journey... "In the end, it's what you do *most of the time* not what you do *occasionally* that matters the most." Believe me, I know how hard it is to get…
  • I heard somewhere (regarding weight loss) that, "It's what you do *most of the time* not what you do *occasionally* that matters the most" - it's really helped me when I'm feeling down about a poor decision, and helped me not turn that poor decision into a bunch of poor decisions. Hang in there! :)

  • We have a mini-dvd player that we bought years ago for long car rides with our kids and when I run on the treadmill I set it up in front of me and put in a couple of FRIENDS episodes and watch with ear buds so I can't even hear what's going on around me. I actually look forward to running now because it's ME TIME and I get…
  • It's such a tough journey, but one that's worth it for sure. The hardest part (well, one of them) for me is seeing all the extra skin (like you were talking about) that's not going to go away no matter how hard I work. Some of it will still be there forever and it will never look "pretty." But at the same time, I look at…
  • I'm brand new, too, and like you I'm SUPER excited about this site and all it has to offer. The support from others looks like it's AMAZING and I'm excited to get this show on the road! Good luck! :)
  • Wow! Congratulations, you look great!
  • W.O.W. Seriously. Wow. The transformation is amazing (and you look so much younger!)! :) Great job.
  • I absolutely agree! I didn't stop having cravings for "those" foods until I got on track eating healthy (5-6 small balanced meals/day) and FINALLY I honestly don't crave any of those things anymore. And let me tell ya, I've SOOOO had those same cravings before! It's awful to feel out of control. Also, exercising really…
