  • It was a nice weekend with lots of cold family walks, I ate reasonably but I did not weigh and log my calories. Luckily figuring out how to visit with family for the holidays is involving lots of walking and skiing and a lot less holiday eating.
  • Today was pass day #4. But what a wonderful day! Family ski trip- my husband, stepdaughter (21yrs) and father in law met up on the mountain as a safe way to spend time together for the holidays. Lol we laughed until we cried watching wipe out videos afterwards while opening our stockings (masked, sitting apart and being…
  • Pass day #3. I got a good amount of exercise shoveling this morning but I ate too much. Mindlessly snacked on honey roasted almonds while snuggling with my dogs watching the Crown most of the day.
  • 3x’s yes
  • 3x’s yes! I did an early morning 3.5 mile walk dropping off Christmas cards before the sun came up. I took it easy today. Tomorrow I’m going to see how my body handles some bunny slope skiing. I have a season pass so if I feel any discomfort I can just go home without feeling like I lost out.
  • @Bill70sStrong Tough is an understatement for you! @snowshoe072 I agree it’s amazing that moving can make the pain less. You go!!! Do you mind sharing what the total mile goal was for 2020? 3X’s yes. Great on calories. 30 minutes of spin plus walked for an hour and twenty minutes at a brisk pace with lots of hills-covered…
  • Yes x’s 3. Working on coming in under calories but not forcing it. Walked for about 5 miles including a moderate pace with friends as well as a brisk turn about town and did 20 min on my spin bike.
  • 3x’s yes! Lol I wrote a thoughtful post about how reading today’s starting post really helped me make a good decision involving a food gift, I hit done instead of post!!! Blah, blah, blah thank you UAC for helping me make a good decision. Multiple brisk walks today, almost 6 miles!
  • 3x’s yes. I ate all of my calories and took a nice 3 mile walk around the village this afternoon. I’m planning to walk tomorrow after sundown so I can see the lights. Today the sunshine felt so good!
  • 3x’s yes. I’m not leaving many calories on the table. Easing my way back into UAC focusing on the habits not the weight. I am all about intentional exercise- for me doing the intentional hard work makes me capable of living a life filled with incidental. I love, love, love working out but I also love that by building up my…
  • 3x’s yes. I ate to my max calories- thank goodness I pre-logged and followed up with weighing and measuring. Taco night can easily get out of control. I played around with increasing my exercise as I’m working around an injured back/hip (caused by a mostly dormant birth defect). I alternated some light lifting with my…
  • 3x’s yes. Good on calories. Only 20 minutes on my spin bike. Today was neuromuscular massage day so I took it easy after.
  • 3x’s yes! Really great on calories. Jumped on the spin bike for 40min, just a smooth fast ride for Sunday. I definitely get a good 8-10 hours of sleep, I wake up any where from 3:30-4:30am but I go to bed accordingly. Opposite of most people I usually put a mindless sitcom on my iPad on my nightstand. I find it relaxing…
  • 3x’s yes! 50 minutes on my spin bike- I didn’t push hard but I worked. I was so far under on calories that I got to enjoy a calorie dense cocktail.
  • @BMcC9 @MaltedTea OMG “eat the frog” is something my boss at the library and I say to each other all of the time, I believe it’s a Mark Twain quote. We use it address the things we procrastinate. But it definitely works for so many aspects in life. I’m glad it’s a concept that has worked it’s way into UAC. Lol I might have…
  • 3X’s yes. Barely squeaked under on calories but I resisted temptation. I know that if I wasn’t back doing UAC I would have gone over. An extra bite here, a handful of nuts there- it all adds up so quick. I’m excited to be turning it around and being mindful about my eating. 6km light run and lots of stretches for exercise.…
  • Congrats to all of the circle winners from Nov and high fives to the champs that didn’t quit. Nice to see some familiar names. 3x’s yes Weighed, measured and logged every bite and finished with a few calories to spare. Kitchen is closed! I’m on the walking wounded list and am taking it easy while I heal. I had a nice…
  • @mlivermore15 I think @BMcC9 covered the options and tactics. I’ve done months where I eat back and months where I don’t. I think the important thing is to decide which approach you want to take for the month AHEAD of time just like you choose your calorie limit AHEAD of time and stick to it. Set your intention and stay…
  • I did UAC every single month in 2019 and I know 100% that it works for getting to and maintaining a health weight and lifestyle. How do I know this? Because I thought after over a year of logging and two years of weight loss that I didn’t need to weigh, measure and log. That I didn’t need to check in each day, that I could…
  • Again over on calories but I am logging so that is a win for me. Getting back on the road to losing is hard. No worries on exercise, today nine other women from my workout group and I went to a treetop rope agility course. So much fun, I had done it a few weeks ago so I hung back and stuck with the women who were a little…
  • Pass over on calories again! Had a monster two hour work out so it’s not the worst but I didn’t just eat my exercise calories- I ate 2x’s my daily limit and lots of sugar
  • Ready to reach my ultimate goal weight, ten days at a time! SW 242 GW 130 Round 122 End- 160.2 Round 123 Goal -2lbs 8/15- 159 8/16- 158.8 8/17- 159.6 8/18- 159.6 8/19- 160.1 8/20- 159.0- I definitely ate more calories and carbs then I should have yesterday but it was a high activity day. I’m just proud that I logged…
  • Pass, sigh still challenged by calories but I did log everything. Lol there are downsides of managing the farmers market, like being handed a bag of apple cider donuts- still warm. Could not say no. I did share with a bunch of farmers- lol but I ate three! Lots of exercise- an hour of yoga, an hour of strength plus…
  • Pass. I am struggling with measuring, weighing and logging- therefore I’m struggling with calories. I know that once I find my groove it becomes a very organic part of my day. I also know that in order to make progress on my weight I need to keep those calories in check.

I ate at the top of my calories yesterday- THEN I had three cookies and a handful of peanut butter…

  • 3x’s yes I love that quote, I discovered exercise late in life. I had let my weight, fear and discomfort stop me. Fast forward to the woman runs, jumps and lifts everyday!
  • I love reading everyone’s NSV! This would be a pass simply because I did not log. I’m positive I’m under on calories and I got plenty of exercise- lol I fell asleep on the couch at 7pm so our new Sunday obstacle course is a win!!! I am working on weighing and logging, it was second nature for so long but a few months off…

I’m trending down in general. I’ve built so much toned muscle that I am excited to see what I look like when I shave off the little bit of fluff…
