  • Perhaps set your goal to lose 1/2 pd a week. Slow and steady wins the race...plus u get more calories. Also remember the scale isn’t the only measurement of loss. You could have lost inches and not see that on the scale. Beginning of Nov, I dropped 3 pds which seemed like outta no where. Guess it was my whoosh. But for the…
  • I like to eat oikos Zero yougurt with 2 tblspns of semi sweet chocolate chips mixed in. I get my protein and sweet tooth covered at same time.
  • 5 days in Vegas ...up 5 pds. Lost 2 within a week, took a month to lose the rest. I almost was in panick mode as I was beginning to lose consistently before vacation. I just owned up, got back on calorie counting.
  • I’m 46, have had 2 partial knee replacements as well as carpal tunnel surgery on both hands all within the past 5 years. About a decade ago I also was a Jazzercise instructor and mostly taught high impact. Now that I’ve had the knee surgeries I can no longer do high impact excercise, even squats hurt like a mofo. Hubby…
  • Funny u ask this as I just logged some late night snacks from last night...I was over my daily calorie goal by 300 calories. I feel like a failure for snacking so much on top of going out to eat lunch for moms bday. But, I want to stay accountable to me, so I logged it, and starting fresh again today. I told myself, it…
  • I’m going on vacation next week and headed to Vegas. I’m mentally preparing myself for a gain when I get back. I’m not going to track but try to be mindful of my eating and choices. As far as alcohol goes, well that’s a diff story. I know I’ll come back to a higher number on the scale, but knowing that helps me to prepare…
  • That’s pretty much the only way I can drink water all day. I use the squirt type of enhancer and it’s 0 calories. I keep one at work as well as in my purse.
  • My Fitbit hasn’t synced with MFP since Sat AM. It’s frustrating as heck as when I log it shows I’m negative end of day but I know with all my steps (12,000 daily average) I haven’t gone over in calories. But seeing the red is starting to give me anxiety. Lol Hopefully all will be good sooner than later.
  • I like to mix in a single serving of lime jello, walnuts, and tablespoon of honey. I treat it like a dessert.
  • Love goodwill for awesome finds. Cheap too especially if u go in 50% off days as well as finding tags that are the special tag for the day. Also liking Old Navy, Marshalls, sometimes Ross. It's better to find clothes that fit you right now as it's more flattering to your body verses wearing your old clothes that were once…
  • Hot tamales, the candy. I have to have a box on hand when the craving hits. I can eat the whole box in one sitting, and it's the xl box at that. I do keep it within my calorie goal though. But still...
  • Don't be afraid of the scale. I used to be. Never got on it. When I'd go to docs, I'd turn away or tell them don't tell me my weight. But then last year at my physical my doc blurted out my weight, and I was shocked/ depressed. The good that came out of it was it started me on a weight loss journey/ healthier lifestyle.…
  • Doc prescribed it for depression. When he said it'll also help with weight loss in some ppl I got excited. I honestly didn't lose any weight. My appetite didn't decrease. What did happen was my mood turned into rage. I would get upset/bothered by just about any and everything. I stopped using it. I was on it for about 2…
  • Started July 2016...almost a year & 40pds lost since then. It all started at my annual physical which was July 1,2016. I nearly $h!t my pants when I heard her say my weight. Needless to say that fueled something within to make a change. I can't wait till this July 1st to see how much I'd have lost in a year. I still want…

  • Office Christmas Party...loved it. Had me in tears at times.
  • Ahhh-mazing! Congrats!
  • Last July went to docs for annual. I didn't look at my weight as was ashamed. During our visit, she blurted out my weight which I swore I heard her say 211! I've never ever been in the 200s. My heart sank, I felt ashamed and effing miserable. She also said my cholesterol was high, so was my blood sugars, pre diabetic it…
  • I love thin mints. When I found out it was cookie time, I used some app on the web that tells you where and when the GS will be selling those delicious cookies. So yeah, I hunted them down. Being a former GS, as well as my daughter, I don't mind supporting their cause/goal. It's once a year. On a good note, I did see the…
  • I too keep a protein bar in my purse. Pure protein ones. I also keep a bag of beef jerky. Actually, I'll portion a serving or two out and keep in zip lock. As well as nuts. I prefer almonds, so I'll portion a serving out and put in ziplock bag too.
  • Daily in the AM. Then on Fridays I take my lowest weight for the week and log that here.
  • I used to weigh weekly. Then decided to give happy scale a go. I record my lowest weight from happy scale on mfp. Usually on fridays. By using happy scale, I am able to see my lowest weight which might not have happened on my weekly weigh in day, so I would've missed it.
  • I've had 2 partial knee replacements. One just 2 1/2 months ago. I feel you. Lol. I use my treadmill mostly for now, but for xmas I received a bike/ elliptical combo and get on that now and then. For me right now it irritates my knees but I know once I'm healed it will be beneficial. I have done both in PT. I also like to…
  • I just got a Fitbit charge 2 for xmas. I've synced it to MFP and have no issues with it showing me my "steps" and calorie burn. Knock-on-wood. But I always go to my Fitbit dashboard 1st, watch it sync, then go to MFP, manually hit the sync button and it syncs my steps from fitbit. I have no patience for it to sync on its…
  • Passengers. Kinda slow, but alright. Loved Jennifer Lawrence's hair though.
  • You go girl! Congrats on all your hard work paying off.
  • Two quotes come to mind, first being "Trust the process". This has helped me through times when I'm doing everything right and the scale doesn't budge. That dreaded plateau. This is where most ppl say eff it, and give up. I was on mine for 5 weeks, trusted the process and had a huge drop. The 2nd being " if u continue to…
