Fat VS skin
I've lost over 70 lbs and I know I have moderate loose skin on my breast and stomach. I'm not really ok with it but I'll live . Anyway I'm starting to wonder if the flab on the back of my arms and back (bra fat area) is more loose skin than fat. It doesn't wrinkle like my stomach and I don't feel the squishy / grainy fat…

Rest days!
I am NOT someone who enjoys working out. Most days I have to trick myself into putting on my workout clothes. That being said I'm finding it hard to take rest days when I exercise regularly. I enjoy the increased calories so much that I work out almost everyday exhausted or not. This week for example Tuesday : 3 mile run…

Going insane!
Just wanted to rant a little bit. I'm so tired of counting every calorie and working out constantly to loose a mere lb a month !!!! I am 5'1 and 130lbs (my original goal weight). I'm still not happy with my appearance but feel like the fight to loose weight almost isn't worth it with such a small margin for error. I count…

Fitbit question.
My Fitbit regularly under counts my miles walked. If I run 5 miles on the treadmill it will state I've only walked/ran a little over four miles the entire day. Do you think it is underestimating my steps as well in this case? I don't mind the mileage being incorrect as long as my steps are right.

Lunch ideas
What does everyone eat for lunch? I typically bring left overs from dinner to reheat but I feel like they are always subpar after I microwave them.

Has anyone tried this?
https://www.newyou6weekchallenge.com/referral/lead/landing/?mode=1&g=Friction&Adv=NICOLE Basically it's a cross fit work out 3 times a week with a paleo diet. The diet is what concerns me, I typically just watch my calorie intake and I don't know if I can live without dairy for six weeks let alone forever!

Fat in your diet.
I have been reviewing diary and I'm realizing most of my caloric intake is from fat. Most of this fat is from cheese and nuts. I'm curious if it is unhealthy to have such a large amount of my calories from fat. I wouldn't say I have a high fat intake persay because I'm only eating 1200 calories a day. So maybe 400 to 600…

Activity level
My current Activity level is set to sedentary due to the fact that I work in an office and don't move much. I recently picked up a part time job as a gas station cashier about 20 hours a week. Should I set my activity to lightly active or log those calories burned somehow. Is it even significant enough to burn much?

Body recomp
I have lost 57lbs over the last year with moderate cardio and calorie counting. I have sporadically done weight training on the weight machines at the gym but nothing for more than 2-4 weeks at a time. I am 5'1 and 141 llbs so about 10 lbs from a healthy BMI. I know I have an excessive amount of body fat for my weight and…

Waist size
Alright so I started MFP in march at 198.8 lbs and am down to 148.6. Yay 50lbs! While my waist has obviously shrunk I am still measuring at 41 inches I know I am an apple shape but with 17 lbs to a healthy BMI it seems that my waist size is impossible. I am shrinking everywhere but my gut it feels like, at 5'1 and 148 lbs…

Loosing a pound 1/2 lb to a pound a day
I recently went gluten and dairy free since my doctor believes I am intolerant. I started on Tuesday and I've lost 4 lbs since. I would say it's from eating less carbs but I wasn't really eating bread or pasta before due to the high calories. I am still eating 1200 calories a day and my exercise routine hasn't changed. I'm…

Dairy Free alternatives
I am in the process of going dairy and gluten free due to health reasons. I basically live on Mexican food - cant get enough cheese and sour cream. Are there any substitutes for these that are close to the original?

Doctors orders
I had my first appointment with my new primary care provider yesterday, He was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable but I am a bit concerned with some advice he gave me. He advised me to go on a gluten and dairy free diet which due to my HS ( a skin condition) that is incurable but definitely manageable. From what I've…

Accurate calories in local chains
Alright so I have a local chain that makes Americanized Mexican food. I love to get a beef and bean wet burrito. It consist of refried beans , beef ,a tortilla, lettuce , and of course meat sauce and tons of gooey cheese on top. I try to estimate the calories and typically only eat half but I'm concerned its upwards of…

You can't spot reduce , can you spot gain?
I have been reading several articles lately that state that excess sugar or refined carb are the cause of belly fat. Some articles have cited studies showing a link between stomach fat and sugar intake. I know you can't spot reduce but it seems like if these are in fact causing you to gain fat in a particular area wouldn't…

Calorie goal
Just curious about a good weight loss rate for my body. Im am a 5'1 female weighing 145 lbs. I am a little less than 15 lbs from a healthy BMI however most women my height weigh or aim to weigh between 100-115 lbs. My goal is 130 and I will adjust from there. I lost a majority of the weight at 1200 calories a day but am…

Falling off the wagon
I cant seem to stay on track. I have lost over 50 lbs and i cant seem to ditch this last 19. I am so close to goal from where i began but i cant seem to stay on track. I will get overwhemingly serious for about a week and then decide I "deserve" a break or treat which turns into days of overeating and no excercise. Then…

Birthday cake!
How many calories would you say are in a generic marble sheet cake with buttercream frosting? I had a small piece 3 inches by 3 inches or so at work for the office birthdays. Not really sure how to accurately log that.

Belly fat!!!!!
Alright so I'm definently an apple shape, I hate it but I'm learning to embrace it. My biggest issue with my jody is my stomach. I am 5'1 and 155 lbs. I started at 198.8 lbs. Loosing 43 lbs I would think my stomach would have shrunk significantly. I know obviously it has gotten smaller but it is always out of proportion…

Getting back on track!
I've lost 38 lbs so far and have another 30 to go to goal. With a death in the family and a new position at work I've lost a total of 2.8 lbs in the last month. Any advice on how to get back on track? I start for a day or two and seem to loose focus. I think part of the issue is I have been this size most of my life so I'm…

Goal weight for short women?
OK so I am time 5'1. I started at 198 and am down to 172. I had a goal weight of 130 initially. Reading through the forums I see many taller women 5'6 and above aiming for way less. What would be a good goal Wright for someone my height? Any ladies roughly my height have photos of them around 130 or at their goal?

Half way there- 35 lbs in 3.5 months (with pics)

Feeling stuck
I was officially 30 lbs down about two weeks ago. It took me about 3 months to loose the first thirty but since then It's slowing incredibly. I have lost .4 lbs in the last two weeks and the two weeks before that maybe 1 lb. I know I have been slacking lately since I am down to my "normal" weight however I still have 38…

Weight loss is weird
I lost 6 lbs from the 8th to the 19th and then this week 1 lb. I am in no way complaining I'm extremely happy with the loss just wondering why it's always so extreme. My weight doesn't really fluctuate as far as going up since I started. It will stay the same for a week or two and then all of a sudden I'm down 2 or 3 lbs…

You will ruin your metabolism!
Is ruining your metabolism just another weightloss myth like starvation mode, eating clean = weight loss, spot reducing, etc? I have seen several people post that yo yo dieting or eating under calories will wreck your metabolism. Thoughts?

Can you see a difference?
Down 18 lbs and don't really see it.
