I have been reviewing diary and I'm realizing most of my caloric intake is from fat. Most of this fat is from cheese and nuts. I'm curious if it is unhealthy to have such a large amount of my calories from fat. I wouldn't say I have a high fat intake persay because I'm only eating 1200 calories a day. So maybe 400 to 600 calories a day are from fat. Any thoughts are more than welcome

I would say it's fine and healthy, but that's because I get the majority of my calories from fat. Around 70% per day. I know there is no upper limit of fat beyond making sure you leave enough room to get enough protein.

The fats in my diet replaced foods that I found to be less healthy (mainly processed and refined grains and sugars) because they exacerbated my insulin resistance and autoimmune issues.

Thank you!. I get most of my calories from fat but I'm always at at least 20 percent protein so I think I'll be fine.

Last time I was losing weight, I too got the majority of my calories from fat. It was wonderful. It felt like my body finally healed after I had tried to eat low fat for years and years. I think especially women suffer from too little dietary fat. Hormones and stuff, and vitamin absorbsion. You can eat all the vegetables you want, but they will end up as expensive poo if you don't eat enough fat.

After I hit maintenance, upped my calories, and reintroduced more carbs, my protein and fat percentages are naturally more in line with "official guidelines".
