How can we help each other?
Hello all, what can I do to help kickstart this group once more? What are you looking for out of this group?

Working and B.E.D.
Do you find your line of work impacts you and your B.E.D? Or do you find you are more prone to binges while at work? For me I used to be the architect of my own demise. For me I am a Chef, and I am also pretty good with pastries and baking. So before I was diagnosed I would cook and bake and eat and have no control.

Living with ADHD
Hello one and all I was searching here for some support with ADHD and could not find many active groups. That led me to start one of my own, my vision is to see the group grow into a place for people who directly have ADD/ADHD or have a family member with it; come to share support, and information they have. I posted a…

Leaders
Good day to you one and all. I am currently looking for active members to help me grow this group, answer questions, and step into a leadership role. If you have any interest in this at all please send me a message, or reply to this thread and we can talk about it more.

Privacy Settings
Hello all, I wanted to get a group consensus, should I leave the group set to private so people can feel more free to share without worry that others will see what is posted, or should I make the group public so that those who are seeking help can see what others have posted?

Ask a Chef
Hello one and all, I was in a comment thread the other day and answered some questions about cooking, and other culinary tools. I jokingly said I should start a "ask a chef" thread. I have been in the culinary world for close to 20 years, I am currently and Executive Chef, I also have attempted culinary school twice to…

Need a little help
I used to use a fitbit and MyfitnessPal but Fitbit broke so I am trying to integrate my Apple Watch sp that the Health app and the MFP app talk to each other. Is there a way to get the activities and steps to port into the MFP.com site without having to go through the app so sync the steps?

Just a thought
So I was looking at cookbooks on line and it occurred to me, if you are going to write a cookbook or do anything with food it may be best to not include the word DUMP in the title. As a chef and an immature male all I can do is giggle to myself when I see those Dump books.

Question
Hello one and all, I have a question, how does one get back on "track" if they were never really on a track to begin with?

Happy new year
Hello one and all. I know things have quieted down here lately and I want to change that. I started this group almost a year ago to help those struggling like I was. I know a few members have left but we have gotten some new members so let's welcome them and hear their stories and try to lift them up and support them and…

What a difference a year makes
These pictures are almost a year to the date apart. The white coat I was over 230 lbs, the me with glasses and the black coat, I am under 200 lbs. I still have about 30 or so pounds to go, but I kind of have stalled out, and need to get myself going again.

Hello one and all, I am a 36 year old Chef, with radial nerve issues, and tendonitis in my right arm, and am 3 weeks post-op from correcting the issues, for the second time. For the last 4 years I have struggled with Binge Eating Disorder, anxiety, and some other fun things. I also have an 19 year old daughter, 5 year old…

Hi
Hello once more to those of you who still check in. I am still here and checking daily for posts. In June I re injured my arm digging a ton of holes looking for a sewer line at my house and since my elbow was already in a weakened state from tendonitis 5 years ago I made it much worse. Then while my body was trying to…

Hello and welcome
Hello and welcome to all the new people, and hello once again to the members that have been here for a while. I have noticed things have been quiet around here lately, and I am partly to blame for that. I was off work for the summer and my time was spent being home with the kids and doing a million projects around the…

Not weight loss related... other parents of HFA and ADHD children I need advice please.
We have been trying Ritalin for a few weeks for our 5.5 year old son, he was having a hard time emotionally when the meds would start to wear off. He was on a short acting version since he is not able to swallow pills yet. His doses started at 5mg twice a day, then 7.5mg twice a day, then 10mg in the am, 7.5mg in the…

Birthday
So I had my birthday yesterday and for the first time in years I was not over indulging on cake, and asking for multiple desserts. It felt nice to just have a small piece of cake and be done with it.

My son graduated preschool last night. He was very proud, as am I for him. I know it is just preschool but it shows he is growing up so quick.

Weigh-ins
I choose Wednesday as a weigh-in day as I read somewhere it is the most accurate day to weigh yourself. Most of you probably know but weigh yourself at the same time each week, wearing whatever you feel comfortable in, but make sure to wear similar weighing clothing each week to help keep things accurate. Starting weight…

Life and the funny paths it takes...
I just needed to share with people in the hopes I can clear my head of what is going on. So I have mentioned my son and his hyperactiveness and that at times he can be a bit of a handful. We took him to a child psychologist a few months ago to get him evaluated for ADHD and sensory processing disorder. We met with the…
