Just found - need help with race nutrition for 50+
I have been searching for a group to support and give insight on my changing metabolism as an athlete. I'm 52 and this year my tried and true race input is not working. I keep bonking from no fuel yet when I eat to compete I gain. Help.

Close, but not Zero Carbs
I have been following an anti-inflammatory diet that is no flour, no sugar, no dairy. Is that close enough? I do consume carbs in fruit or the occassional potato and oatmeal.

Anyone Following No Sugar, No Flour?
I started this among a few other banned items as part of an anti-inflammatory diet. Starting to get old and looking for support and insight from others on the plan. Trying to do this naturally without packaged GF foods that are loaded with chemical alternatives.

Family
It never fails. When I get around my family it triggers all out binging. They are bad influences, but even when they behave I can't. Plus I binge on sugar before and after their visit. Can't figure out why they do this to me. Fortunately I only see them a few times a year, but its always a major diet disaster.

I am doing so much better by putting off eating until 11, followed by a later lunch at 1 or 2. Somehow that empty stomach puts me in the right frame of mind so that I tolerate hunger better and am less…

Lost it yesterday and so bummed
I'm sure I gained all of my lost weight yesterday due to a bad binge night. The same trigger that sets me off every time did it again. I just can't seem to overcome this trigger which sets off carb binging. It always starts with being forced to eat lunch at a bad place (fast food which I never do), followed by other…
