Hello group. Just started a semaglutide generic a couple of weeks ago
It's difficult finding conversations and thoughts from people about semaglutide, probably in part because it goes by so many names I just took my third dose of 0.125, looks like others here are on a much higher dose. It really didn't do much for me the first two weeks but now lately food just kinda sits in my belly and I…

Just stopping by to talk about how I lost 135lbs again.
Like a lot of people, things went off course for me, and I put 150lbs back on after losing it a decade ago. It was honestly pretty awful. I had become miserable, I couldn't get around so great, constantly out of breath, no friends or social life. Just... awful. Being 330lbs at 6' tall is just freaking awful. So after…

What is one fitness topic that is accepted by everyone? (I don't think there is one)
Perhaps this is why my username is what it is. It dawned on me last night that there is not a single thing you can say that will not be challenged (and it probably applies outside of fitness topics as well). Some examples: Prolonged calorie deficit means you will eventually experience hunger at some point: Challenged by…

Workout routines when you have shoulder arthritis? Advice?
Google has been entirely unhelpful as the only thing that comes up in search terms is exercises FOR my shoulder and occasionally a word of encouragement that you should still continue lifting. I recently developed it. I've had to drop all of my weights way down, but it still gets irritated. Lat bar pulls irritate it (I can…

I messed up bad and put on 1lb+ of fat per day for two months.
NOT looking for advice, just sharing the experience. Over the winter seasonal depression struck me at the tail end of it and I went back to old habits. I put on, literally, 1lb per day and skyrocketed 60lbs of fat (plus muscle loss) in just two months. Absolutely insane that it's even possible. I had to buy new clothes. I…

Sleep aids that are not melatonin or ZMA?
I love my ZMA but I've read I should cycle off of it once in a while. I absolutely hate melatonin, it leaves me groggy. Does anyone recommend any other other over the counter sleep aids? I don't need anything strong, I just need to take the edge off since I usually exercise late at night.

Just delete the user entered database of food, and put it out of its misery.
It is frustrating at best, and useless at worst. You can type in a product name, get 100 variations, and every single one of them is wrong. You find one that at least has the right calories, use that, and the macros are wrong. So then you end up manually entering your new variation of the food anyway, adding to the mess…

Successfully recovered from my Brownie issues
Maybe this success is too small to put here, but I get crazy cravings for specific things sometimes. It's usually not an issue, but when it's brownies it always flips my fitness world upside down. For like 2-4 days or so I went nuts eating brownies. Eat me guilt free protein brownies, low calorie thin slim brownies, and…

It's okay to go off your diet once in a while.
This is the hardest part of self love I struggle with, but I'm getting there. Just gotta remember it's "okay" to live a little and over eat once in a while without beating myself up. The majority of our actions are what make us what we are, not the things we do on occasion. Just gotta be kind to yourself. When you've been…

The scales says I'm down a full 100lbs today
I feel less celebratory than I thought I would, but I keep catching covid and colds, so I'm feeling a bit worn out. The last 10lbs have been really hard fought thanks to the covid and cold. Sometimes less than a pound a week. Anyway, it's still a pretty big milestone and accomplishment. 304lbs to 204lbs going from February…

Strategies for curbing a sweet tooth once its been activated.
I generally don't eat sugar or crave sugar (or flour, I actually despise pasta, and I'm picky about bread). But there's an exception, once I do eat something sweet it's like I become an unhinged monster looking to devour the cosmos. It is important to be able to eat the occasional treat without eating a 2nd or 3rd (4th or…

Down 96lbs using Factor meals. Since their price hike, today marks a new chapter!
Since February/March of 2021 I've been eating almost all of my food from factor 75. Yes, it's expensive, but I am fortunate, and if you bought the package deals there was a hefty discount. They recently got rid of the package deals, and now it's too expensive even for me :P So today marks the beginning of a new chapter…

Blendjet, like it? Hate it? Worth it?
I love the idea of a portable blender that is easy to clean, but at 40 bucks I'm pretty hesitant! I don't "need" a blender, but I feel like it would mix protein and MRP shakes better, and give me a few more options to add mixins like fruit or veggies. The ninja products are pretty good in general, but it's bigger, takes up…

What are your thoughts on very low intensity steady state cardio?
I start all of my days, 7 days a week for the most part, with 45-60 minutes of very very low intensity cardio. I don't get short of breath or sweat (tho it IS winter) I look at it as active recovery, particularly my walks of ~3 miles. I like it. It's obviously not all I do, and I do much more intensive training later in…

I get intense cravings for specific foods. Now it's back to brownies.
Once or twice a year I will get intense cravings for very specific things: * Brownies * Fried Fish and Vanilla Milkshake * Fried Chicken with Pickles The chicken and fish cravings usually aren't so bad, b/c I can have it once or twice and move on. The brownie craving is more problematic because all it does is rev up my…

Does anyone actually use the "my blog" feature?
For sanity reasons, I really need a way to vent out my fitness "journey" (I hate calling it that). It looks like the "my blog" feature is half broken? When I click "more blogs" it gives an error, and the UI looks like something out of 1997.

I ate all my day's calories for breakfast because I was hungry.
The more weight I lose, the hungrier I get. I've read lots of articles that back that up with "science" as well. First time in human history where eating too much is a bad thing. The more you lose, the hungrier you get. I wish I had time to go to the store b/c I'd get some celery to chew on. I've found peppermint tea can…

90lbs down as of today. A great birthday gift to myself.
I seem to be the opposite of everyone else here, and put weight ON during the lockdowns, I put on almost everything I had lost and was maintaining for three years. The freakishly fast weight gain almost killed me, I found myself in the hospital struggling to breath because I had gotten so fat so fast. I'm still 30lbs away…

So apparently everyone stopped making protein brownies.
There used to be a ton of different companies making protein brownies from lenny and larry, to chef irvine, to myprotein, and many more. Were they the best brownies? Well, they were to me. They tasted like crappy little debbie brownies, but they averaged 16-20g of protein and satisfied my junk food brownie cravings pretty…

High gravity days, pull ups, and progressive overload.
I'm not sure if I'm asking, or just venting, but the varying strength on random days has me frustrated once in a while. Some days you can just push a little more than you could other days. Some days you can just push a little less. But for whatever reason, this seems to be the most pronounced on pull ups for me. I like to…

All of my protein junk food buys from Black Friday came today lol. What snack buys did you snag?
6 boxes of loaded taco quest chips 1 box of ranch quest chips 1 box of sour cream cheddar quest chips 1 full box of blueberry cobbler hero quest bars 1 full box of peanut butter quest cookies and 1 box of eat me guilt free brownies (chocolate pb, birthday cake, and red velvet, 4 of each) No real point to this post other…

I'm back
I deleted my account a few months ago because some of the replies I got to a question annoyed me to no end. Anyway, I'm back, they were still unhelpful, but I need a place to sh** post about fitness from time to time. I spend more time banned on facebook than active, so it's not like I can use that :) If anyone wants to…
