So apparently everyone stopped making protein brownies.

There used to be a ton of different companies making protein brownies from lenny and larry, to chef irvine, to myprotein, and many more.

Were they the best brownies? Well, they were to me. They tasted like crappy little debbie brownies, but they averaged 16-20g of protein and satisfied my junk food brownie cravings pretty well.

What happened, they're all gone? There is only one company I can find still doing it called "eat me guilt free", I ordered a variety box and patiently await.

I know I can always make my own, but there's something to be said about pre-portioned snacks and the unmistakable taste of commercialism. Home made is better in all the wrong ways for me.

If you make your own you can individually bag or wrap them, stick in freezer or fridge and dole out per serving. And home made moore than likely taste better.

And sometimes when products don't sell enough, they stop.making or selling them or there sold in.limited supply and limited areas.

    Enjoy your brownies 😋

Yeah, that's the taste of orangutans dying. Shelf-stable Palm oil.

I hope you decide to make your own.

You can try Bambody Nutrition. They are a bit pricy but delicious

I had a protein cookie from a health food store last week. It was dreadful and expensive.

While I do very much agree about the convenience of pre-portioned snacks, because I am cheap I have often made my own in the past. Unfortunately, I can no longer tolerate stevia, so that eliminates my favorite chocolate flavored protein powder.

These days I am mostly relying on yogurt as a treat with protein.

@Idontcareyoupick Thank you! Not sure how this site never came up in my searches, but some of their treats look great. Definitely gonna give them a try. Too bad I probably missed any deals over the weekend.

@kshama2001 Protein treats are hit and miss, and some companies do it better than others. For example, Quest makes a pretty good cookie, but other brands not as much. It's also a preference thing. Some people are better off just having a normal treat and working it into their calories. I'm at 1750 calories a day (3 500 cal meals and a 250 cal snack) so for me every gram of protein helps in hitting my protein goals and there isn't much wiggle room.

I can vouch for those. They are both very very good...especially if you nuke it in the microwave for 20 seconds and eat it with a fork. 👍

    💯.
My fave protein bar for a few years now.
I originally thought they were ‘close enough’ to quest, and waaaaay cheaper, but now I actually prefer them.

I have very occasionally eaten them zapped, but I actually prefer them chilled, they’re slightly less sweet.

    Since the thread got upped:

I tried the eatmeguiltfree brownies and they were just 'okay', more like pound cake than a brownie, not fudgey at all.

I got some chocolate peanut butter flapjacked muffins, and as long as I don't over water them, they are doing a pretty good job of hitting that 'craving'. Ironically they are more fudgey than the eatmeguiltfree actual brownies. I'm still yet to try the bambodynutrition.
