Metafit
A friend of mine teaches Metafit and keeps asking me to go along - but every time I ask what is it, she just says "come along and see!" - can anyone fill me in? Is it similar to any other workout?

Protein Shakes After Gym (UK)
I am sooo novice at this it's unreal. I'm sure this topic has been done to death but I've had a little search and can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I tend to work out in the evening, an hour or two after my evening meal, and although I have "post-gym snack" in my diary - I never seem to fill it with anything…

High Protein Breakfast/Lunches
Hi guys, My carb intake has left me feeling sluggish lately and I've been advised to up my protein intake. My breakfasts are usually either a yogurt/porage/cereal bar and my lunches this past week have been soup & a bagel. High protein, low starchy carb (potatoes, bread, rice etc), cheap breakfast & lunch ideas needed -…

I'm always so tired after lunch!
I feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place here. By lunch time, I'm usually pretty hungry. I tend to eat a yogurt or some porridge at about 10.30am (not a fan of too early eating!), then I have lunch at 12.30pm. Lunches are usually something like soup and a sandwich, or a baked potato and some salad. This week,…

Do you eat after the gym?
Looking for a bit of help guys, I know you're supposed to eat after the gym to replenish etc, but I don't tend to eat after my dinner and it's posing a bit of a problem. I usually have dinner about 5.30pm-6pm, then go to the gym at about 7.30pm. But when I arrive home at about 9-9.30pm I feel its too late to eat! I don't…

Another non-believer of "starvation mode"?
I was just reading and interview with Faith Toogood, the nutritionist in the Biggest Loser UK house, and she made a statement that makes me think she is also a non-believer in "starvation mode". Seems pretty simple to me ... If someone is watching what they eat and exercise, but still not losing weight, how would you…

Does anyone know anything about dyeing hair? (UK)
HELP! Over the last few months I've had hightlights lots of times and I'm now pretty much blonde. The problem is, my clip-in hair extensions are still a caramel type colour. I've tried dyeing them with 2 different dyes that have promised to lift your colour up to 6 shades ... I'll be lucky if they've went up one! So I…

Thinking Of Trying Quorn ...
I fancy making chilli this weekend, and I was reccommended to try Quorn mince instead of normal beef mince. Apparently it tastes near enough the same. Is this true? Also, whats the texture like? Asda's extra lean mince has 123kcal per 100g and Quorn has 103kcal per 100g so its not a HUGE difference, but is it worth a try?

A Day Off
Does anyone take a day off? Either once a week, or once a month? By day off, I mean eat what you want - but not in excess! And get all those bad foods out of your head! I've seen some success stories on here where people that have had a weekly day off have still successfully lost weight at a decent pace. Yet I've seen…

Ephedrine
I just read a thread on this, but it was from a few months ago so thought I'd bring it up again. I used ephedrine about a year ago. I used to take 2 before the gym and they gave me a real boost. I found it easier to break a sweat, although sometimes felt a bit light and shaky. I understand the health implications, so…

Need advice - What would you do?
Long story short ... I met a guy and started seeing him. He had a girlfriend of 5 years at the time so we broke it off. A couple of months later they split up and him and I started seeing each other properly. Things were great up until a few weeks ago. He started speaking to her again and went weird with me. He then told…

Gym v 30DS
Okay so, I'm not going to lie - I am HATING my new gym. Everyone I know goes so I always feel a bit self conscious, its unbelievably busy, and I'm not overly-enamoured with the equiptment or facilities either. This isnt excuses - I LOVED my last gym. But I've burned my bridges with them due to an ongoing dispute (I say I…

Carb Paranoia
I've always had it drilled in to me that carbs were bad, especially after reading Atkin's book a few years ago. I tried the Atkins diet and had the usual initial big weight loss then it slowed after that. And it just didn't feel healthy! I grew tired of eating meat and eggs and started craving greens and fruit and…

Does Anyone Else ...
Fill out their MFP food diary before they've actually ate the food? I go in in the morning, and input all my food for the daay, and plan my meals. I think it helps me stick to my goals and lets me know what I'm allowed as opposed to just eating ad-hoc. I feel like when I complete my diary in the morning, I won't be tempted…

30DS Question
Considering this .. But one question - how long does each level/workout last? e.g 30 mins, an hour?

Salt & Pepper
I can live without salt. I tend not to cook with salt and I only add a little to food when completely necessary. But I am addicted to pepper! I put a layer of black pepper on pretty much every hot meal I eat! The thing is, I know all about salt being bad for you - but how good/bad is pepper?

Going Back To The Gym!
Hello all! I used to be such a gym addict. I would do an hours workout, a class (Zuma, BodyCombat, Spin etc.) and a swim, 5 days a week. But then I broke 2 bones in my foot and stopped going to the gym, stopped healthy eating and piled the weight back on! That was about 6 months ago. Tomorrow I'm joining a new gym. Have…

MFP - Round 2!
Hey everyone, I started using MFP about 6 months ago, although I only used it once or twice, and didnt take it seriously! But this week I thought I'd have another attempt and have been using it religiously all week, and plan to continue. I want to lose 60lb, and hopefully will achieve my goal of losing 25lbs by christmas…
