My Cheat Day always becomes a Cheat Weekend
I'm having a hard time sticking to my calorie allowance on the weekends. I've read that it's ok to have one cheat day so your body doesn't get used to a decreased number of calories and stop dropping pounds. However, instead of one cheat day I always have at least two and I know that can't be good for me. I just have a…

Stage 1 Results (and Questions)
Hello!! I did it! I completed Stage 1 (and will seriously miss it!) I'm looking ahead to the rest of the Stages and they seem really hard...though I guess Stage 1 looked crazy when I first put my eyes on it. Anyway, I've greatly enjoyed myself. Have lifted consistently Monday, Wednesday and Friday and seen strength gains…

1 Month in Dilemma!
Hi All, I started NROLFW a month ago and have been loving it! I've seen large improvements in my strength (specifically how much I can deadlift: 55lb while feeling like I'm dying to 70lb without problem, 80 tomorrow :) ) BUT today was my 1 month weigh in/measure to make sure I picked the right calorie goals aaaand it…

Changing Exercise Routine?
So I've read in several fitness magazines, blogs etc. that doing the same kind of exercise over a long period of time causes your body to become more efficient at it and burn less calories doing that similar exercise over time. I love the elliptical and find that it's the only machine I really enjoy. I like to go for an…

Exercise Every Weekday Too Frequent?
So I keep hearing this from people and wanted to ask the experts. I've been doing a cardio work out every weekday morning for an hour, burning 600-700 calories and people keep telling me that that's too frequent and cardio should only be done every other day or something. I know weights should be worked into there…

More Than 2 Hours of Cardio Bad for You?
So I spoke to a 'fitness consultant" at Planet Fitness today and she told me that I should never do more than 2 hours of cardio. That 2 hours should be my max and I should never go past it. However, several things she said about heart rate and muscle groups made me think she didn't really know what she was talking about.…

Food Obsession?
I'm worried my weight loss journey has messed with my head. I lost 42 lbs in the spring in time for a hawaiian vacation where I happily gained five pounds. I have been trying to get back down to my pre-vacation weight for over a month and a half now. Not only have I not succeeded, but I've gained weight. I cannot seem to…

Having a hard time feeling full/satisfied

Drinking leads to eating
So I'm usually quite good at self-control, but all of that goes out the window when I drink in any capacity. Then I just want to eat everything (and usually do). Does this happen to anyone else??

Complete and Total Plateau
I don't know what to do. I have read a lot of posts on plateaus and have followed all the advice I could find: change up your diet, change the times of day you're eating, switch up your exercise, measure in inches not pounds. None of the above have worked. Despite changing my diet and exercise and strictly following MFP I…

6 lbs in a week??
I'm quite confused. This weekly weigh-in indicated that I lost 6 lbs in one week. I thought it must be a mistake with my scale, but I went to someone else's house for other reasons and used a much more sophisticated scale only to receive the same result the next day. I weigh myself several times in a row each week to make…

Can't Trust My Scale?
My scale can't make up its mind. I step on it, off, and back on and the weight it displays can vary by 3 pounds. I do this multiple times and my displayed weight continues to fluctuate. Has anyone else had this experience?
