I'm only decreasing them because I'm gaining fat and I read somewhere that it's less of a shock to your system if you decrease them gradually (so your body lets go of the fat instead of thinking you're starving and it needs to keep it). I would suggest weight based only because it's easily measurable (and I love my measurements! :) ) I think one of the main reasons I have completed Stage 1 is because I could look back and see that I went from not being able to pick up a certain weight to being able to do 8 reps of it without dying. At the gyms I go to there are these cube shaped steps with felt type material on top - that's what I use. They're usually found in the personal training area. Hope that helps!

I'm all about weekly calories. It really helps me keep things in perspective and realize that one day of indulgence or 'weakness' doesn't need and will not necessarily ruin a week's progress. It also let's me be more lenient like "pepsicola" is saying, which helps me keep it up!

Thanks for the tip about the lemon. I drink 10-15 cups of water a day and work out a total of ten hours a week.
