Poker
I'm probably going to have to take part in a poker game on Friday. Never played poker before two weeks ago when I was invited to same game. Read the rules quickly an hour beforehand, went entirely clueless and was very thankful it was cancelled. Since then have tried a bit of Zynga online poker through Facebook and re-read…

Food advice
I have a friend visiting for a week who has colitis. Any suggestions on kind of foods I should be stocking in and cooking? Preferably compatible with me eating healthily at the same time. He is also diabetic, just to make things a bit more complex.

But I am no longer obese on the MFP BMI scale :-)

Don't go to Great Yarmouth
Or you might end up eating a breakfast which weighs the same as a small child. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-18490459 6000 calories on one plate.

Gym disaster
So I had my first personal training session today. Started on a treadmill, then eliptical, then rower, then excercise bike - getting harder work but okay. Then we move onto lunges.... First proper focused lunge I do, forcing myself to go as low as I can I feel faint. Pause for a while to recover then go on. After a while…

My challenge for June
Since I'm bored of swimming all the time I've decided to set myself a challenge for June. At least 10 minutes of a different excercise each day. So Monday might be sit ups, Tuesday Pilates, Wednesday cycling and so on. Hopefully by the end of it I'll have tried some new things and found some more I like. Any thoughts /…

Holland and Barrett
Just a quick FYI, Holland and Barrett have buy one get one for 1p on a number of things, including the very expensive coconut oil. This made me happier when buying today :-)

Choosing a house to buy
I've been house hunting for quite some time and found a house I really like. It's nicer than most I've seen, just about affordable and only has one major downside.... It's much further from where I work in a semi rural location with a 40minute or so commute. Houses in my price range nearer to where I work are either…

50lbs gone
Now I just have to lose the same again and I'll be at goal. Started in January. There have been times when it's been frustrating - my stomach size has barely changed, the stretch marks - but the numbers are still going in the right direction so I just need to stick with it.

Best hrm for someone who swims a lot
Any suggestions? There seems to be a lot of negative comments about the Polar models' underwater. I swim mostly in a chlorinated pool however I also scuba dive. I am doubtful any will be effective with the second but I can but try!

Could probably do with some more friends
Well I'm 32, female and English, living near Reading in Berkshire. I've lost 3 stone so far, but at least 4 to go. Which feels like a long way still especially since that is by no means a perfect weight (just one I would be very happy with). I'm more of a believer of eat the things you like in smaller quantities or after…

Slightly unpleasant question
If I'm sick mid way through the day how do I account for it in my calorie tracking? Do I not count my last meal or only count a % of it?

One food wish
So a genie / brilliant scientist discovers how to make one food absolutely calorie neutral. You can eat as much of it as you like without any health side effects. What food would it be? I'll start with my answer: cheese
