My challenge for June

Since I'm bored of swimming all the time I've decided to set myself a challenge for June.

At least 10 minutes of a different excercise each day.

So Monday might be sit ups, Tuesday Pilates, Wednesday cycling and so on.

Hopefully by the end of it I'll have tried some new things and found some more I like.

Any thoughts / suggestions? Of course I'm probably not going to stop swimming but I can do that on top of my 10 minutes of something different.

    You could try Dance Dance Revolution like me! Been my main cardio for a month now, and some days, I hit over 1K calories in an hour! Of course, I am still in the 200 club at 5' 6'' and I play on the more difficult settings, but if you get good enough, you can definitely blow off some major calories in little time!

    Going to keep track here with HRM calorie burns per 10 minutes, in case anyone is interested in that comparison....

    Thanks for the dance suggestion - is that a console thing though? I don't have a games console unfortunately if it is :-(



    Day 1 - rowing (machine) - 103 calories burned in 10 minutes

    Day 2 - cycling (machine) - 104 calories in 10 minutes

    Interesting...rowing felt like much more of a work out but in fact burnt a calorie less.

    Day 3 - level 1 of the 30 day shred. However my HRm was playing up and lost the signal so can't give an accurate calorie burn :-(

    Day 4 - leaflet delivery. Not quite the same as walking as it includes bending, steps etc.

    It might not seem like proper excercise but 2 and a half hours of it certainly was :-p

    Day 5 - no idea! Sort of like an eliptical but so you bring your knees up, then out to the side?

    Am going to stop adding to this thread and just post to my excercise diary. It's too narcissistic making a post a day with no one else commenting, I thought I could just edit posts and make it all in one post, but apparently it won't let me.
