currently pictures help or hurt?
This weekend my hubby and I had a chance to go to key largo for the weekend. I weight more than I have in four years. I hate pictures because I see what I have allowed myself to become. So initially I thought if I was thinner, more in shape. . . And I realized that I have things on hold that I am waiting to do until I…

I am a caregiver by nature, first born tendency, I think. Work has been crazy stressful, my hubby and I are helping a friend's family who is going through a very hard time. And I've gained 15 lbs. Which brings me to a 40 lb goal. Any support, tips, encouraging words are welcomed. I am working ten hour days and then helping…

Migraine and logging
Hi All, I suffer from horrible migraines. At their worst like yesterday the slightest movement makes me vomit, I know gross. I had breakfast, granola snack and that was it before getting sick 8 times. I'm thinking when I get sick like that logging my food kinda moot. Advice?

what I have learned logging in 37 days straight.
I have learned that I want a lifestyle change not to drop 20 lbs in thirty days. I was frustrated at first because I realized that was the way I was acting even though I told others it was a lifestyle change. A sprinter and a marathon runner approach the raise differently. There is nothing wrong with having a specific…

can you work the program minus the scale?
The scale not only stresses me out but rules my mood! I have been doing this for about a month and I weigh myself every day and it's starting to be an issue. I'm good with logging what I eat and starting to walking. I know measuring yourself you can be inconsistent but I saw on a post about a tape measure you can get on…

A picture is worth 1000 words
Whoever said sure spoke the truth! I have been off the wagon for about a week and half. Went back on it earlier but I wanted to see what I looked like since I normally avoid looking at myself. So I took a picture and I was amazed at how I looked. So now I have more weight to loose but for the first time I looked at the…

I feel like a failure
Hi all, I had been doing great until a week ago. My mom has lupus and she is having the worse flair up, we have been taking care of my FIL since his accident four months ago and he has been living with us for two months. His overall health has been improving. He is a diabetic and his sugars were around 300 when he moved…

exercise then and now
Hi all, After not exercising for about two years I am starting back. I use to do book camp three to four times a week. Which was awesome but it was basically all I did. I was going through a divorce. I am happier now than I have been before so decided time to take care of me. My issue is that I get discourage because…

are these realistic goals?
Hi all, My calorie intake is 1270. My question is if wanting as a goal 2" smaller waist and hip, ten pounds in a month are these realistic goals? That is my optimal, for progress I would be ok with 1" and five pound loss in four weeks.
