I'm finally ready
2 years ago I was a success story almost, life happened and I lost track of all my progress and backslid, HARD. But I am finally ready, the most motivated I've ever been since that time in my life and I am EXCITED. I enlisted a good group of my friends to join me in a 12 week biggest loser challenge to help me kickstart…

30lbs lost & just finished Jillian Michaels Body Revolution
(copied & pasted from my official MFP blog about this) So I've finally finished JMBR, and I wanted to post a recap for anyone interested in doing BR themselves or for those who are just curious about the program & my results. THE NUTRITION: the adage of "abs are made in the kitchen" is so true, and I learned that the hard…

low sodium deli meats- do they exist?
I sincerely miss snacking on bits of turkey meat or making wraps with it but the sodium is just so darn high and I haven't been able to find one thats low in sodium. any suggestions?

Last year, this week, I signed up for mfp and ended up losing 37lbs within 4 months of hard work and dedication. I learned so damn much, including what works and doesnt. I completed 2 different Jillian Michaels progams and even posted my results at the end of the 90 day one. I made MFP friends. I gave advice. I took…

curious, 2lb/week losses? anyone?
I'm only asking out of pure curiosity but has anyone here seen consistent 2lb a week loses following EM2WL? (I understand it isnt supposed to be used for fast losses/quick fixes).

finally. workout 12
for some reason I thought reaching this point would be crazier. or that workout 12 would be the hardest one of all (i still think workout 7 was the worst for me lol). i will say this, it was GOOD. like, intense but amazing and I got a great burn on my HRM. made those plank rows my ***** and the dancing crab at the end…

leaving for vacation today
if you were at a small resort would you be weirded out/annoyed if someone brought in their laptop to do a workout video (like jillian michaels) in the gym? i really dont want to bring my weights and cords with me to tahoe even though there is a fully equipped gym and space to work out. i'm on the last 2 weeks of body…

activity level help
looked back a few pages and couldnt quite find what i was looking for so here we go. I work on my feet (starbucks) 5 days a week (32 hrs), go to school 2x a week (long walk to/from car) and workout 6x a week for 30 mins doing jillian michaels body revolution, and this week am just starting a 3x a week C25K program, and one…

90 days, and my first rant
It had to happen sooner or later. It seriously bothers me when people assume that when you are eating "heatlhy" all your food must taste like cardboard or consist only of salads. I've eaten more of my favorite foods while on MFP than any other time in my life. Salmon? heck yes, i love the stuff, and i eat it about 4x a…

Okay I'm a believer...
Finally decided to get my head on straight and subscribe to the EM2WL mentality, because lets face it, I love food. Here comes my newb question: So I have my TDEE, BMR, & cut value....but now what? Do i just jump up from 1550 to the 2000+ i'm supposed to eat? or should i increase this slowly over days or weeks? Keep in…

varying calories daily based on TDEE
does anyone try eating according to their TDEE instead of just an estimate? for example on days i work and workout my tdee is in the 3000+s and if i was following the 1000 cal deficit to the T, on those days i'd be needing to eat almost 2000 cals instead of my usual ~1600... but on my days off when i'm a lazy bum my tdee…

Found a measurement ticker for us scale-haters
If you're like me and you dont bother owning a scale for fear of checking it everyday and instead rely on measurements, I've stumbled upon a great ticker site so we can finally brag too about our losses! :) *make sure to select the "PseudoHTML, UBBCode and BB Code" one to make it display properly on MFP*…

Q for those who're losing 2lbs/week-eating back cals?
I have a question for those who have been steadily loosing around 2lbs a week. Have you been eating all your exercise calories back? I have my loss set to roughly 2lbs a week, which for me is around 1280 cals intake, when I do exercise it ups it by my 260 calories burned. I'm scared to eat those 260 back for fear of not…
