90 days, and my first rant

It had to happen sooner or later.

It seriously bothers me when people assume that when you are eating "heatlhy" all your food must taste like cardboard or consist only of salads. I've eaten more of my favorite foods while on MFP than any other time in my life. Salmon? heck yes, i love the stuff, and i eat it about 4x a week. IN FACT I use "eating healthy" as my excuse to splurge on the stuff since its a little pricier than other lean meat. I never even appreciated how delicious dark chocolate and almonds could be until I started my new lifestyle. I think its HILARIOUS when people look at me crazy and ask what I've "cut out" of my diet to get this way. UH...nothing? Just cut out the laziness and nutrition-less food?

End rant.

We really need a clapping smiley around here!

Totally agree with you. How do you maintain your weight loss if you only eat food you hate? :noway:

When people say to me "You have lost so much weight what do you eat?!!"

My reply is always "What ever I want."

Only difference is that I don't want to eat unhealthy food.

I couldn't agree more. It's kind of amazing/cool how your tastes change. I would never in a million years have thought I'd go through a head of cauliflower in a week or a bag of frozen fish. But damn, I feel so much better.

Exactly. You can have whatever you want if you just don't have it for every meal.

Whenever I bring my lunch to work, I always make sure to include two cut up apples and a couple of servings of carrots. Without fail two or three people a day will come up and say "Hey trying to eat healthy huh?"

No I'm trying to clog my arteries you f$&*ing idiot.

    Just wanted to add,
wild Alaskan salmon is wonderfully rich with Vitamin D which is very important!

(Farm or non-Alaskan salmon does not)
