June Starters: January 18 weigh-in week
Didn't see it yet so here goes: SW - 300 LW - 263 CW - 261.2 CLOSE to the 2lbs. I really should start exercising more heavily. I just don't seem to have the energy to do more than just the bare minimum. *pouts*

In a state of shock...
i don't know if this is a common saying when you come across a heavyset person and they make excuses for being the weight they are, etc. - "I have a tyroid issue" - but i've heard it a number of times. I've never been one for making excuses about myself. i always felt that i am the weight i am because i just didn't…

June Starters - December 21st
Starting the thread this week. No change for me for last week but at least it's not a gain. SW - 300 LW - 266.5 CW - 266.5 I really need to get back on track. Been feeling REALLY unmotivated.

Emotional Eater
I was just dealt some really bad news (on top of some already bad news from last week) and really want to eat. Cheeseburger... cake... anything ... My brain is telling me no but I am having a really hard time not going upstairs and grabbing something to eat. Please help!

BIG breakfast
Has anyone else tried this? Eat a huge breakfast (something over 600 calories), a medium lunch (around 300-400 calories) and a small dinner (around 200 calories) and of course a couple of snacks. I have tried this and so far this week I've lost like 2lbs (since Sunday)... Dunno if that is a because of the food or because…

Major slipping
I seem to have the hardest time keeping to eating healthy in the evenings and on the weekends. From breakfast to mid-day snack I'm fine. I eat a max of about 900 calories up until then. That leaves me with about 700 available for dinner. For one I know that's too much. I know that during breakfast I eat around 300 calories…

How is that possible???
Just for grins and giggles I weighed myself Saturday night just before heading to bed (my weigh-in day is Sunday morning). I looked down in shock that the scale said I had lost 4.5 lbs in a week! I was so excited. Then without even thinking about it I got on the scale Sunday morning and it said I only lost 1 lb. How is it…

That's why old school opera singers were so heavy!
Over my entire life I've been involved in singing organizations in whatever area I live in. I realized that a couple of years ago that I was just plain starving after rehearsal and REALLY hungry after big concerts. So with my bad eating habits of ole I had been stuffing whatever was available (no matter the calories) after…

Lopsided
Does anyone else have the issue of one 1/2 of their body loosing the weight while the other just stays the same? I've lost over 30lbs now but it seems to all be in my bottom 1/2. My pants size has gone down by about 2-3 sizes (now wearing a 20/22) and my top 1/2 is just as big as ever. My stomach has gone down a bit. My…

Could it be something I've eaten?
::Warning - Personal and might be a bit of a TMI topic for some:: I generally have about 1 yeast infection a year since I was about 12. I just happen to be one of those people I guess. But what I'm wondering is if it could be connected to something I've eaten? I've had 2 this year (in the middle of the second one right…

Weighing in...
Must you weigh yourself every week? And the same day? I don't personally own a scale and when I have access to one it isn't always the same day or time.

"Cheating"
Is it ok to have a day where you have one meal that is not necessarily within the "plan"? Since I've started this eating change I've been keeping one day a week where I'll pick a meal that is REALLY unhealthy and go ahead and eat it. It usually stays within my calorie intake for the day but that is if I don't eat much else…

Gaining instead of loosing
Does anyone else have the issue of gaining weight instead of loosing it even though you stay below the calorie intake amount listed and exercise more than is perscribed? i'm beginning to get really frustrated. i have a lot of weight to loose and i just seem to be putting it on instead of taking it off.

hypoglycemia & dieting
i was diagnosed with hypoglycemia (without diabetes) about 7 years ago and have since been really leery about getting on any kind of diet. I remember when I was first diagnosed and my doctor sent me to a nutritionist that she said that I should stay away from the low/no carb diets. Does anyone else know what else I can do…
