I'm looking to buy one of the two devices - any tips on which is better?

Crossfit - your experience
Hello all! Anyone a Crossfitter? I have always been a regular exerciser but my sessions have become less intense/regular since moving to Dubai last November as it is just too hot to run for long distances, and my gym isn't that well equipped so my workouts become quite routine. There is a Crossfit place just round the…

Giving Up Alcohol
I'm looking for some motivation with my recent goal. I have decided to give up alcohol for a month to see the impact it has on my weight loss. I work in a role whereby there is quite a big drinking culture on Thursdays and Fridays and I find that I am often drinking 3 large glasses of wine (almost a bottle!) 4 times a…

Alcohol Alternatives
Does anyone have any tips on what to have whilst on a night out instead of alcohol? I have a big night for halloween this weekend and don't want to feel left out (I have given up alcohol for a month). Massive wine fan BTW.... Any tips would be great! Also if you have given up alcohol then feel free to add me - could do…

Harcombe Diet
I'm thinking of doing the Harcombe Diet to power up my weight loss. It seems to be along the 'no processed foods' methodology, as well as not combining carbs with proteins. Anybody tried it and got results?

Getting past mental barrier
Hello all. So this weekend I spent a lot of time with my friend who has lost quite a lot of weight recently. During the weekend she seemed to eat barely anything; breakfast was a piece of toast and 1 rasher of bacon, then she didnt eat anything until dinner (which she only ate half of). I on the other hand felt like I was…

MFP or exercise machine calories burned...
Hey all Just wondering what calories you put in to your diary when doing exercise? I go by what MFP tells me I have burned, however that is usually considerably less than what the cross trainer/running machine tells me etc. Any thoughts much appreciated. :)

Jillian Michaels - thoughts?
I've done 30DS in the past and even after a short time I felt a lot more toned however I didn't keep it up as I'm a fan of longer cardio sessions and I never really felt like 20 minutes was enough for me to lose weight (I didn't see weight loss results). For people who have done the Jillian Michaels DVDs... do they work?…

Scared of carbs....
I think I already know what the answer to this is going to be but here goes.... When I lost weight back in 2006 (managed to keep it off until end of 2008, then lost it again but still hanging a good 9lbs over where I once was) I barely had any refined carbohydrates at all. I allowed myself porridge in the morning and I…

30 Minute Cardio Suggestions
Does anyone have any suggestions for a 30 minute cardio workout they have experienced good results with? In the mornings I only get 30 - 40 minutes in the gym and I really want to make the most of it and torch as many calories as possible. Thanks!

Sodium...?!

Not that much to lose
I am looking for some new friends on here who don't have loads to lose but want to shed a few pounds and tone up, and basically keep on the straight and narrow! I have about half a stone to lose to get to my ideal weight but because I don't have a load to lose I have a number of absolute blow-out days a week which means I…

Does Weight Watchers work?
Don't get me wrong, I love MFP, but I'm feeling like its just not working out for me. No matter what happens I am ALWAYS over my calories. And I really don't think I eat that unhealthily! I think my problem is that I eat a lot of fruit and other snacks (pretty much constantly throughout the day), and obviously all of this…

Sugar Recommendations
Hi guys. I've always had a bit of a sweet tooth, however I seem to go over my recommended sugar allowance a ridiculous amount each day. I do have the occasional piece of chocolate but a lot of it is made up from fruit (I have about 4 apples a day) and other things I wouldnt see as too bad. For example; one day this week I…

Food Measurements
This seems like a bit of a silly question but exactly how much is 'one cup'? In the US it seems as though this is a pretty standard measurement, but I'm not so clear on what it is. Is it literally 'one cup'?! What size cup are we talking?! Haha.... Thanks guys.

Low Carb Brekkie
Hello all. I was just wondering what some good alternatives are for breakfast without being too carby? I never really restrict myself on carbs, as long as I am staying under my calorie goal, however I'd like to have at least one day a week where I have a bit of a carb free day. I normally have porridge, cereal or toast....…

Less Calories + More Exercise = putting on weight??
I have been with MFP for a while now and have been relatively consistent in terms of weight. Recently, I have really upped my exercise by jogging outside in the mornings, then resistance training at the gym in the evenings. I have gone from a steady 8st 9lbs (121lbs) to 9st 1lb (127lbs) in the space of about 3 weeks.…
