need some help/ideas??
My son has so behavior issues, so I'm cutting out processed stuff and going natural. Unfortunately, I've been raised on fast food and cans. To start, I'm doing the basic only fresh fruits and veggies and as lean meats as I can get and focusing on labels that say they didn't steroid the animals. Any other ideas? Are there…

at what age...
Did you start letting your kids stay home alone? Not for long periods of time, but to run down the strees to get milk... I mean, we're talking 10 minutes at the most.

starvation...
Short version, my body has been in starvation mode for a few years. Ok, like 10 years. I've increased my calorie intake, and am exercising daily for general health. However, since I've upped my calories, I've gained a pound back. I'm guessing it's because my body doesn't know it's safe to come out of starvation mode? Just…

Gatorade
So I know people get frustrated by this, but I just can't eat enough. No, not that I'm always wanting more, but that I feel full, eat when I want, and don't get enough calories for the day. I'm trying to think of ways to still make healthy choices, like veggies and fruits, and staying low on sodium and sugar. But I find…

feeling discouraged
Well, it's been about 4 weeks that I've been really working hard at being healthy. Eating fresh fruiits and veggies, low cal snacks instead of chips and dip, adding in more protein, not adding any salt to anything, drinking lots of water, and exercising daily. I still don't reach my calorie goal daily, but I've doubled my…

migraine relief?
Just wondering if there are any remedies I don't know about. My son broke my glasses and I don't have a spare pair anymore, so my astigmatisms are causing a killer headache. I exercised, drinking lots of water, and took Aleve. I am hoping to get a new pair tomorrow. But need any ideas for today?? Lol. Thanks.

MFP vs. FB
So I've been on facebook forever. I just started here a couple weeks ago. And I just wanted to say that I love it here! Don't get me wrong, keeping in contact with my family and friend back in RI is great. But I find that this community is so positive! Even when I'm having a down day and need my butt whipped into gear,…

Food or exercise first??
I was eating breakfast then doing my workout, but someone told me to workout then eat, because the workout will burn stored calories instead of what I just ate. Any opinions?

depression question
So last month, I moved my 5 year old and I from Rhode Island to Illinois to get a fresh start. Things had been really rough, his father abusing him, we lost everything we owned, and my grandparents are letting me rent a house from them here. When we got moved, things somehow continued to fall apart, though I didn't know…

I'm not pushing myself too much, but days that I work out I feel great, then the next day I'm wicked achy. And it's everywhere. Am I doing too much? Do I work out through the ache to make it go away? I don't want to do the wrong thing and hurt yself... Any advice? Thanks :) ~Kate

meal supplement drinks?
Which meal supplement drinks are the bast? I need one that I can get at a grocery store. My big question is this. Don't they all have more than a day's sugar in them? I need them to get more calories in a day, but I know cutting sugar is important, too... help? Lol

2.1.11, new and full of questions.
So here I am, ready to change my eating habits and hopefully lose weight. My problem is that I can't eat much, or I'll feel really sick to my stomach. I always allow myself to eat when I feel hungry. But I generally only take in about 800 calories. And after a work-out, I go down to about 600. I hear so many contradictory…
