Has anyone made the switch from being successful on Noom to here? I lost 25 pounds on Noom last year. I had a week long vacation and am feeling a few pounds creep back on - slippery slope. Calories in/Calories out vs. low carb
Everyone around me tells me that ultra low carb is the way to go. I'd love to hear success stories of people who counted calories - enjoying the foods you love in moderation. I need to get past this mindset that I'm doing it wrong and won't see results if I eat cereal, sandwiches, etc. Thanks! Katrina

Small loss first week
I was hoping to have a big loss my first week in. I know it slows down so just wanted that first week to be a bigger number. Down 1.6. Happy to be down but disappointed it wasn't more. I'm not close to goal. I want to lose about 40-45 pounds.

I am finally trying to eat in a way that works best for me! I'm ignoring the paleo pushers, the low/no carb crazies, and eating less of what I love. I missed my early morning gym workout because I overslept and had to rush to work. I live in SC where it's in the upper 90's plus the humidity. I stand outside and sweat like a pig. Gained this week :(
I lost 2.4 the first week and gained 1.2 this week. I've been doing the same things I did last week with the exception of one day of weights, after a long hiatus. Should I hold off on weight training until I build my confidence with solid weight losses each week? I'd love all the encouragement I can get. :(

How many calories am I burning
I know we can't trust mfp's database of calories burned through exercise. So how do you guess? I have a heart rate monitor but I've been told those aren't very precise either. So far, I've been taking the mfp number of calories burned and dividing it in half. I may be underestimating calories burned...

Mini binge
I ate a total of 5 packaged Rice Krispie treats (450 calories), and the only reason I stopped there was because that's all I had. Instead of beating myself up I'm going to a) work it into my calories and b) don't buy these again

Meal delivery service (cook at home)
Has anyone had any success with meal delivery services such as Blue Apron, HelloFresh, etc.? I am thinking of trying it since they all seem to have specials for your first week (just me and husband). Which ones are better?

Why does myfitnesspal suggest 1,200 calories a day? I am 5'8, about 190 pounds. I work full time so I'm at a desk all day. I'm doing about 3+ days a week of spinning/elliptical. Any suggestions on what my calorie goal should be?
