Intros
Hi everyone - Maybe a brief into from members would be a good start. Possibly include what tris/dus are in your future. Me, 40 year old Canadian in the engineering field (read desk jockey). I discovered multisport back in Nov 2009 while watching the Kona Ironman World Championship on TV only to find out later I have a…

We need another person above thread....
NO WE DON'T. It's pretty sad when this chit chat forum is the most active on a fitness website with all these ridiculous "person above" threads. Seems some people always need some kind of validation, or need to get off their azz and workout more. Rant over.

Connect no longer syncs with MFP
Ever since yesterday afternoon, Garmin Connect and MFP have not be talking to each...for me anyhow. I disconnected on Connect and reconnected and still nothing. It's also never reported the calories consumed properly on Connect but at least it was syncing the activity with MFP, now nothing. Anyone else?

2013 Schedule
I know it's kind of early, but for me, it's never too early to start planning. I've just retained the services a certified multisport coach and 7x Ironman finisher to kick my azz starting next week. Going for some PRs in 2013. Here's what my schedule looks like for next season:…

This is why I love Seth McFarlane
Interviewer: "The Parents Television Council voted the episode, along with many others, “Worst TV Show of the Week.” Do you appreciate that honor?" Seth: "Oh, yeah. That’s like getting hate mail from Hitler. They’re literally terrible human beings. I’ve read their newsletter, I’ve visited their website, and they’re just…

Do I take the job?
Let me first apologize for the long post..lol. I kinda feel weird posting this, but I just need some potential view points that I might be missing. Here's the story; My background is civil engineering - mostly in new developments (subdivision designs, roads, etc). I was suddenly unemployed from March to about mid May when…

Post Your Ride
I was introduced to XC mountain biking in June 2010, being only a road bike guy for many years. My first MTB experience was a 50k XC MTB race on a borrowed bike..LOL. Yeah I fell a few times, mostly from not unclipping fast enough in certain spots. After that I bought my own bike. I got used from the owner of a local bike…

Iron & Runners
I've been borderline anemic all my life....every blood test I've had my hemoglobin number has been 1-2 point below the lower limit. I found this article and will discuss supplementing with my Dr. I can only imagine how my running performance could be if I had adequate iron levels. http://pfitzinger.com/labreports/iron.shtml

Two & a Half Men
OK, I use to be a big fan of this show, but ever since Kutcher came in, I simply can't stand it. I don't like Kutcher as I think the guy has no talent. I mean, they basically brought in Kelso into 2.5 Men. Yeah Sheen has issues, but he was meant for that role and played it perfectly. Anyone else think this show will fail…

30k race plan
I have my 30k race in 2 weeks and I have all my plans laid out. My goal is 2h 45m which is a 5:30 min/k (8:51 min/mile) average pace, but I've broken it down in sections based on terrain. The last 10k is kind of rolling with one big hill around the 25k mark, but the first 20k is flat. Here's the planned breakdown: Start to…

Painkillers during hard training/racing
