Not New, but Getting Back in the Game!
I am in no ways new to myfitnesspal, but I'm getting back into a routine to get my life back on track. I lost a bit of weight for my wedding (which was only 3 months ago) but I've been slipping since then (with moving to another state, yet again, and finding a new job). But, we're stuck here in NY for the next 5 years, and…

Trail Walking Alone - Yay or Nay?
So I have a few parks around my house that have some hiking trails that I'd love to walk. I was able to go to each of the parks once with a buddy, so I was able to see part of the lay out and it's just hilly - no cliffs or anything dangerous. I'd love to keep going, but my boyfriend worries that I'll be going alone. I…

Keep Falling Off the Wagon... Back Again!
So here's my deal: I'm a 25 y/o female living in NYC for the next few months. I am 5'8" and 154lbs. I have depression and anxiety, which constantly eats at me, showing my low self esteem issues. I was here about a year ago, and was able through support of MFP to lose almost 20 pounds. I then went on vacation, had a…

No Salt Diet
I'm having a thyroid scan done, and I was told I can't have any salt for 24 hours. I wasn't told about this before the appointment, so I'm dumbfounded as to what I should for meals and snacks for the next day. Does anyone have some recipes? The doc said no dairy, leafy greens, soup, canned food, seasonings, or vitamins.…

Newbie in Queens
Hey everyone! I just moved to the Queens/Brooklyn area, and am looking to get my butt back in shape! I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where to workout in the area - any good classes, places to run/walk that are safe, etc. Thanks in advance!

Working Out Outside?
So, I currently live on the second floor in my apartment, and my neighbor below complains about me working out. I've tried to do it when she's not home, but now my schedule is changing and it'll be pretty early (around 7am). I have no where to go... other than outside. We have a shared back yard with a semi-high fence.…

Not Wanting to Do A Workout....
What do you do when you really don't want to do specific work out? I went for a walk today, and I should be doing the 30DS as well. For some reason, I really can't push myself to do it. I would happily go back out for another walk/jog for another hour, than do the 30DS. Have you ever had this happen to you? What did/would…

Response to a Bad Day
I have a question for all of you - Say you have a bad day - you ate some things you weren't supposed to and went over your calories for the day. Now, for the next day, would you do extra to make up for the calories you went over, ie work out harder and not eat it back? I went over by about 300 yesterday, and I was planning…

How Often Do You Weight/Measure Yourself?
I was planning on weighing in once a week, and measuring every other week, but I'm getting antsy. I know it's my first week, and I don't want to be disappointed weighing in after only a few days, but I just wanted to get input to see what everyone else does!

Starting Over Somewhere New
Hello all! My name is Caitlin, and I'm here to lose weight and gain some self esteem. I joined a site last year and with the help of accountability and keeping true to my word, I lose 20 pounds. Some things changed, my schedule, my neighbor below complained, and I lost some friends on the site (people just stopped coming…
