Working Out When Sick
I was wondering what makes you decide to work out or skip a day when not feeling well. Usually I try to push myself through my workouts because consistency is what keeps me returning to the gym. However, this past week I've had a pretty bad cold. Every morning I keep pushing myself to work out because its not that bad. And…

Weight Goal Vs. Fitness Goal
I have recently started training for a half marathon. It's always been a secret fantasy of mine to be a runner, and once I got in shape I was able to run. I am on a training program for my running. It is really tough, but wears me out so that I cannot do much else (besides an occasional walk). Running has me burning less…

NSV My Thighs
I never thought I'd be one of those people whose thighs didn't touch. I'm just a naturally curvy person. Well, today I was standing in front of the mirror and was like whoa whats that gap. Who knew!?!

Nutritionist for maintaining weight?
I reached my goal weight a few weeks ago (yay!), but I'm having trouble with maintenance mode and have been going a few pounds above and a few pounds below my weight since I've hit it. My biggest problem is increasing my calorie intake and incorporating "regular" foods back into my diet. Don't get me wrong, throughout my…

Cholesterol
One of the reasons I decided to lose weight was because I have high cholesterol. The doctor said it was likely because I was overweight. I have really been working hard to eat well and exercise daily. I am now a healthy weight (according to the BMI chart). Assuming my high cholesterol was due to an unhealthy lifestyle, how…

I just don't get it
This week I've been so good. Eating within my calories (healthfully!), exercising at the gym daily, and even taking walks during my lunch break. The scale did not budge. All week I was so frustrated, so when I went out last night I figured if I have been doing so well, and nothing has happened, I'm not going to torture…

Noodle Lovers Unite!
I found the best low-cal alternative to noodles: Tofu Shirataki. Has anyone else tried them and agree? They're only 20 cals a serving, which means I'll usually eat two servings, which means I'm usually super full. And I get my noodle fix. I thought I'd share. http://www.house-foods.com/Tofu/tofu_shirataki.aspx

I hurt my foot pretty bad and now I can't run
I had an unfortunate accident with my coffee table on sunday night, and now half of my foot is bruised. It is unbearable to put on sneakers and exercise (I usually run 4-5 miles a day). So far, I've been staying within my calories, but I like having that buffer from exercising if I get a little hungry. Anyone have any tips…

Tips - Office Party
My biggest weakness is portion control. Thank goodness for 100 calorie bags and prepackaged meals. Tonight my office is having a cocktail party (we have about 2 a month). I am good at rejecting the alcohol and can switch to diet coke after slowly nursing a glass of wine, but the food just gets me. All of those delicious…

Eating Health AND Cheap
I've always struggled with my weight. When I was in graduate school (about 4 years ago) I made the decision to lose weight. It wasn't very difficult, because my parents were supporting me. I could pretty much buy whatever food I wanted including prepackaged diet meals (not like lean cuisine - think freshly prepared) and…
