I work 12 hour shifts, overnight, 6 days a week. Then Im off the second week. It all comes out to 72 hours a pay period. On the weeks that I work, I find it really hard to fit in a workout. I commute 45 min to work, work for 12 hours, drive home 45 min. After I get home I have to sleep, wake up, make dinner, spend time…

8 pounds heavier in 3 weeks.
I know its probablynot real fat weight. But it's still frustrating. The last 3 weeks I have been drinking more wine, eating heavier snacks and exercised less. I used to go to the gym, but since we cant anymore I have been staying inside when not going to work. I do go out running for an hour or walking every other day. But…

Pita Bread calorie amount too good to be true. How do I calculate actual calories?
I have been buying Papa Filini's Pita bread at the Jewel Osco grocery store here in Chicago. The label claims, 1 whole pita amounts to 100 calories. The whole wheat pita is 80 calories for one whole pita. The pita is of normal size and quit "fluffy". This is what the label says. And is that enough to calculate calories.…

Sodium really slowed my weighloss.
For way too long, I was eating and exercising but I was always bloated. I lost fat weight, but the scale didn't move...if that makes sense. Well, I always felt like low calorie trumps low sodium so I never worried about sodium. But just 2 weeks ago I decided to change that because I was tiered of always feeling like like…

Soft diet only for 1 month
I just had 2 dental implants put in. I have to be on a soft diet only for at least 4 weeks. The healing time is 3-4 months in total, but the first few weeks are very critical . So I have to eat a soft diet. Food that don't really require any chewing. Nothing with seeds, or small particles of food that can get underneath my…

Gained back 10 pounds over the holiday. Did you gain anything?
From September 2017 until August 2018 I manage to lose 30 pounds. Now I gained back 10 pounds since Dec 1st. I'm so annoyed with myself and I tried to find reasons other than the real reason for my "failure". Bad scale, water weight etc. But I know the reason is that I haven't been logging accurately and I have been doing…

Clothing size charts
I have to ask if it’s just me who have noticed this. But do you ever pay attention to the clothing size charts when buying clothes for yourself. This is especially “handy” when buying stuff online....except it’s not accurate at all for me. If I were to buy, and I have, clothes based of my measurements, every single time…

Do you weigh yourself after a pretty hard workout?
Do you weigh yourself after a workout and if that weight is lower than your morning weigh-in...do you count that as a weight loss? I admit I do this. Sometimes if I have been "stalling" on the same weight for a while, I try to break that cycle. I go for a really long walk for instance. Today I did this. I have been hanging…

Wine lovers....
In a perfect world I would live on only red wine, cheese, sausage and crackers. But I don't obviously. However, I know you can fit wine into your "budget" of calories. Does it still affect your weight the next day even if you stay within your allowance? Just looking for peoples experiences. I usually don't gain any extra…

What causes you to fail with your weight loss goal? Rant!
What causes you to fail with your weight loss goal? Rant+++ I am 38 years old and I have “diet” and exercised on and off since I was 13 years old. I have tried it all and lost weight, but I have never reached my goal weight. I have counted and logged calories many times, as well as other weight loss methods, but I like…

Weithloss calculators? Which one to trust?
Here is one I found today: http://www.thinandhealthyforever.com/CalorieRequirement.asp and I have found other calculators and they are all a little difference. This calculator for instance gives me more calories in order to lose 1 pound per week than MFP. Can this be the reason not everyone lose weight like they should or…

What if Im pregnant
What do I do know? I have this weight loss goal in mind and things are going great. However, I might be pregnant. If I am that would be wonderful if the pregnancy last more than 15 weeks this time. I had a son 6 years ago and I gained 60 pounds. I lost it all again. If I am pregnant now without complications, I do not want…

1200 one day - 1600 one day - 1350 one day
Good evening people ( or morning depending on where and when you are reading this ). I have a question. Do you think mixing up the amount of calories you intake each day is a good or a bad idea. Never go under 1200, and never over you allowed limit. For instance, eating 1650 one day, the next day you might eat 1230 and the…
