How fast do you run?
I'm kindly seeking some responses from petite ladies only. Say 5'5" and under. How fast do you run on the treadmill? And, how long are you able to keep the pace? Also, if you don't mind sharing your height and your weight with me, if you don't want to post it here, could you PM me? Thanks in advance. :flowerforyou:

Running and Hip Flexor Pain
Perhaps a few runners out there can shed a little light on this and help me out a bit. I've recently started getting pain in my right hip flexor after running and doing interval training on the treadmill. I've done this routine before in the past and never had any issues. I've always stretched out thoroughly before and…

Progress Pics?
Do any of you take progress pics? How often? I was thinking of doing them every 30 days or so just to be able to look back and see the changes. Curious if others do this as well? Thanks!

I don't think I can eat this much!!
For the last 2 weeks I've only done 1200 cal/day everyday, because I don't eat back my exercise calories. Well now this past week I only saw a 0.6lb drop so I decided to adjust. Using a few different sources other than what MFP calculates for me I am supposed to eat more... to lose my projected 2lb per week. I've now set…

I had the most awesome lunch today...
... and I made it! I had a ground turkey soft taco w/ roasted corn & sauteed onions on a whole wheat tortilla including a bit of reduced fat cheddar cheese and some light sour cream. I also made a side of black beans that I made w/ some chicken stock, rotel, taco seasoning and sour cream. I have to say, it was delicious…

What do you eat for breakfast?
I'm making my grocery list and I'm looking for some ideas for breakfast items. I'm really trying to lower my carb intake as well as my sodium intake. I know I need some carbs in the morning but lately I've been eating almost 50g! I'm somewhat of a picky eater, but recently I've found that I like egg whites, so I…

Your favorite low-cal Starbucks?
Going out tonight, looking for ideas. Hot or iced, give me your favorite reduced calorie drink. I'm a coffee nut, and I don't like green tea much! Thanks!

A protein bar that actually tastes good...
I found one! Balance Gold - Caramel Nut Blast (some of the other flavors are good but this is my fave!) Easy enough to take to work for breakfast (I'm a nurse) and it tastes great! Not gritty, no chunks of "protein nuggets" (that I can't stand!) and it's fairly nutritional. Just thought I'd share! Here's the stats...…

Ads on MFP... terribly rude...
So here I am, sifting around MFP and what appears at the top in the ad area? "Whataburger! New! Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich" Really? How rude! :grumble: LOL

I don't EVEN want to know...
...how many calories I just consumed!!! Got to eat a free lunch at Cheesecake Factory today. (IF you aren't familiar w/ this restaurant it is sooooo good.. and oh so pricey!) Sister got us the hook up to go before their Grand Opening to "taste test" their food. They were training all of their staff so we got to eat…

What keeps you going...
...when you're working out and you're drenched in sweat, muscles burning from almost complete fatigue, heart pumping up in your throat, chills from the exertion, and you just want to break down and cry from pushing yourself to the limit... What do you think about at that moment that keeps you going? I think about my…

WHOA!!!
Ok, since I got my HRM the other day, I decided I'd try a Jazzercise session w/ it on just to see how much I burn using that for exercise. There was an entry previous here on MFP, I think it told me somewhere around 250 cal for a session. (Now I know, alot of people think that Jazzercise is totally 80's w/ the headbands…

HG's HOT Boneless Buffalo Wings
http://www.hungry-girl.com/chew/chewdetails.php?isid=1309 I tried these for lunch today... I marinaded the chicken pieces in the hot sauce for about 15 mins first. They were pretty tasty but weren't quite crunchy... alot of the coating/breading came right off when I flipped them over. Anyone else made these before?
-
So I did it...
...I bought a HRM! All the buzz got me curious to see how hard I work when doing my cardio. I choose to do a High Intensity Interval Training, so I wanted to make sure my "sprints" are really hitting in the High Intensity zone... and the verdict is... I AM!!! My warm-ups are right on track working in the 50-60%…

OMG... YUM!
Ok, it's late but I just have to post this AMAZING concoction I just whipped up post-workout. Let me start off by saying that I don't work for this company, blah blah... I just love the stuff! It's not gritty, it doesn't stink, no "whey" aftertaste and doesn't have alot of "junk" ingredients.. it's sweetened w/ stevia.…

35g of Protein for dinner....

Body for Life ... anyone? Too much protein??
Hi all, I just decided this week to start Body for Life, today is Day 3. I had a friend years ago that did it with her husband and at the end of 12 weeks, they looked fantastic! Just wondering if anyone here is either in the process of doing it or has done it... any experience with it? According to their website, it…
