...I bought a HRM! All the buzz got me curious to see how hard I work when doing my cardio. I choose to do a High Intensity Interval Training, so I wanted to make sure my "sprints" are really hitting in the High Intensity zone...

and the verdict is...

I AM!!!

My warm-ups are right on track working in the 50-60% range, and my sprints are hitting around 90%. My active recovery phase in between sprints stays around 70%. At one point during a sprint, my alarm went off because I hit 100% of my max HR... oops... HR was 200bpm... sloooooow down!

Even though it showed I was at 95-100% of max, I still felt I could push myself a lil' further, now I know not to!

The summary showed I burned 259 cal for my 20 min workout! Not bad.

Glad I bought it... hopefully I'll see the benefits of the interval training in a few weeks... tonight I could already tell it's helping CV wise.. I felt able to sprint w/o feeling completely winded!

I'm planning on wearing it for a day just to see how many calories I burn up in a 24 period w/o working out.

Good for you. This is especially hard since you just quit smoking. :drinker:

Thanks guys, the interval training is tough but it sure gives a great fast workout and supposedly... you continue burning fat even after you're finished with your session.

I'm also glad I bought it because I'm not seeing much change on the scale in the way of pounds but I am starting to see inches melt away! :drinker:

Now, I think I'd like to invest in one of the body fat devices.
