Met goal, still losing more -- 34lbs down in 5 months
I've met my goal of 30lbs, but I've fallen in love with exercise so much and surprised myself that I could actually do it! I'm going to lose 10lbs more and tone up. I cut most sugars out of my diet, no junk food, no red meat. I replaced most carbs with vegetables. I run 3-4 miles 4 or 5 times a week, then strength for one…

Anyone doing (or has done) ballet fitness??
I'm wondering how toned it made your body. I was debating on whether or not to invest in a ballet barre and try some ballet fitness. I've heard it does an awesome job with elongating your body and slender muscles. My goal is to be more toned, but I don't want to look buff!

Confused - Is running bad... or good... ?!
I'm hearing two sides to this story and I'm hoping someone can clarify this. I've heard, and done research, that running is useless in regards to weight loss. But the other side to this, I've read that running is one of the best types of cardio exercises. I don't just run, but do other exercise as well (including weight…

New to MFP but not new to MS.
I was diagnosed in 2006, and spent 3 years in a wheelchair. I haven't exactly been kind to my body, but I'm trying my best to make the changes I need to. I've been doing regular gym visits, but it's so hard doing this balancing act with MS. "Am I doing too much?" "Am I over-heating?" "Am I eating the right food?" Just…

Thinking about going vegan - beneficial?
My goal isn't to lose weight, it's only to be healthy (though, dropping pounds is nice too). I've noticed such a difference ever since I started eating organic, gluten free and all-around healthy foods. However, I've been debating about going vegan. I can do without meat -- I only eat chicken anyway, and that's not very…

Need help & support from those w/ disease
I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2006 -- spent 3 years in a wheelchair. I occasionally get flare-ups, and my immune system is very low. With MS, you're not allowed to overheat and/or over do it... so it's a constant balancing act. When I was going out for a jog in the summer during a heat wave, I had a flare up…

Ex-dancer with a lot to lose (10lbs lost in 1 mo.)
I used to HATE exercising. I hated gyms, even though I have a membership and rarely went. My idea of losing weight would just be cutting out calories -- an unhealthy amount of calories. I even went to yoga classes, but they were difficult because I was out of shape. I knew I had to do something. My start date was September…
