The struggle is real
I really really wanted something sweet tonight but I can't handle too much sweet. I opted for a cheap version of banana cream pie. It was fantastic. Lol

Lets talk poop (sorry)
Please tell me this will pass. I had RNY October 5th. I struggle with constant nausea so getting protein and liquids in has been a struggle. So with the little bit that goes in, I can't understand how it is possible for me to have to have a BM 15 times a day.

Frustrated
I am having constant nausea. So far nothing helps. I can't get my vitamins in. I can't get hardly any protein in and I struggle with getting liquids in. I don't want to put anything in my mouth because it makes the nausea worse. I had RNY 3 weeks ago. I really hope it resolves soon.

Vitamins
Are there any gummy vitamins that can be used because I practically vomit every time I have to chew a chalky chewable vitamin. Also what vitamins can be used once I'm able to swallow pills.

Light headedness
Weird question. My husband is just over a month post-op, he's down a total of 57 pounds. He said he's noticed that he has started getting light headed when he stands up. BP is good. Protein intake is good. Just wondering if anyone else experienced this?

Getting nervous
I'm having surgery on Monday. My exercise is not anywhere where I want it to be. Right now with activity I get short of breath and my feet, knees, hips and back hurts. Does it get easier once weight starts coming off? I can handle the pain but the shortness of breath gets me and it's like and instant defeater.

Struggling
I have started my 2 week shake diet. I am supposed to drink 5 protein shakes a day. It's been a struggle because of working night shift. My lack of intact is making me so tired at work. Any suggestions? Also what is your favorite flavor to add to your shakes? I'm tired of just plain vanilla or plain chocolate.

Got my date!!!!

Buyers remorse
my husband had RNY 1 week ago. He's frustrated or upset at this point and regrets his decision. I see my surgeon in 2 weeks. How many have felt this way just after surgery

Thigh numbness
has anyone experienced numbness, tingling and slight pain to thigh after surgery? My husband is experiencing this. I feel it may be related to anesthesia. I'm a nurse and I know the signs of a blood clot, which he has none. But he keeps complaining about it. I plan to call his dr to ease his nervousness.

RNY questions
my husband had his RNY on Wednesday. He's following the clear liquids. He's complaining of feeling bloated. Wondering if it's just gas or him drinking too much. He is using a measured cup so that he doesn't over do it. Any ideas? I keep telling him it could take a few days for the gas to go away.

Getting closer :)
husband got approved thru insurance and we scheduled his pre-op dr apt for 1 week. Best part is, him being close means it's closer for me also. I plan to have mine at the end of September.

Getting active...need ideas
I work 2 night shift jobs and getting PA in after a 12 hr shift seems impossible because I feel like all I'm capable of doing is passing out. So what kind of things do you do to get PA in?

Bypass vs sleeve
Has anyone started out saying they were 100% going to have the sleeve then decided to have the bypass instead? I started out planning to have the sleeve, as well as my husband. We started going to support group and listening to people, seems like most people say that they can still eat quite a bit with the sleeve and that…

PA App
I just found an App to help with my PA. I had been struggling with at home exercises because between my work schedule, my bad knees and never knowing what I'm going to find on YouTube. So while on Pinterest tonight I found an app called Sworkit. I can't wait to use it in the morning. It lets me customize my workouts...so…

Sleep apnea
I'm a little bummed. I had my overnight oximetry done and found out today that my results are consistent with sleep apnea. Not sure if they will require me to have a sleep study done. But I feel like I keep getting things checked off the list for surgery and more things get added.

Struggling with pre-op lifestyle changes
Hello everyone! I have been going my gastric surgery classes in preparation for surgery and how things will be after surgery. I am taking the classes with my husband because he is planning surgery as well. I have been doing pretty good with my food choices and have steadily lost weight and if I gain its no more than 2…
