Almost there.....
Firstly, let me say that there were times when I wanted to ditch the whole counting calories thing. However one of the things I would do to get me out of that funk, and still do, was to read all the Success Stories. So a shout out to everyone who has posted on here!! :drinker: A little history. I was always the chubby girl…

Anchorage residents - gym question
So if you live in Anchorage, Alaska....which gym do you go to and why? Currently I'm at Planet Fitness at the NW Mall. Will still keep membership since they are so close and it is easy to do my cardio there. Looking to supplement with a place that has classes, more free weights and trainers that know more than just reading…

Personal Trainer in Anchorage, AK
I love my past trainer but he had to go and work in a resort....go figure...sand and sun vs snow and ice! Anyway, I am looking for a new trainer and what I seem to find in my search is trainers with 1 yr experience and/or pricey as all get out. Has anyone worked with a trainer here in Anchorage that you can recommend?

The right side of my ribcage is killing me. I am working on becoming a runner and think this might have something to do with it. The weird thing is as I am doing my walking/running intervals, and this morning running straight for a mile!!!!!, my ribs do not hurt. I do not get the side stich pain. But now about 3 hours…

Where did the time go?
Just looked at my ticker. Needless to say I was very happy to see that I am almost at my first major goal. What I want to bring up however is the fact that I vividly remember when I only saw 6 lbs lost at the start of my journey. I remember thinking to myself that it was going to take FOREVER to reach that milestone. I…

Airplane Travel
I have been using the CORE since August and have had some terrific results. I have a question in regards to air travel. I know I am not to wear it on the plane and I was thinking that I would just take my MET rate during an average sitting period and multiply it by the hours I am on the plane and enter it as "off time".…

Double Check please
I am trying to calculate my BMR using my Bodymedia Fit Core. Basically I averaged the total calories burned from 12 am to 6 am for the week. That gave me a calorie burn of 462. I divided that by 6 hours, giving me 77. I then multiply 77 x 24 for a total of 1,848. Sound reasonable?

Alaska???
So I was thinking about getting a group together from the Anchorage area. Winter is soon upon us and it would be great to have a bunch of like minded people to keep each other motivated and active during the dark times. I know for me that the darkness keeps me more inside than the cold.

Sleep
Does anyone take off the device while sleeping. If I did, would it skew with the total burn for the day?

Sumo Squats...
Did my first sumo squats last night.....could not stop laughing through the whole thing. Probably why I could only do 3 sets of 5. :) It was difficult but I kinda enjoyed it. My glutes are telling me they know I did them today. :)
