Everest. Enter a female body building competition, and win! Have a legitimate Muay Thai match, and win by KO!

Cut cycle question
Good morning, have a question... I've been building for a little while and am happy with my progress, now it's time to cut and really get the muscles to pop! I was lifting 4-5 x per week - varied groups w/progressive weight. Also getting cardio almost daily and Muay Thai training, dance, running and some HIIT. I am…

Just Sayin'
Just want to say that I am pretty damn proud of myself. Last night after a two hour sparring and stress test I earned my yellow belt (First Rank) in Muay Thai. It was extremely difficult and I was literally exhausted to tears by the end. But I was on fire! By the end of the testing I had burned close to 4,000 calories! My…

Gloves - Opinions please
Good morning! I am picking up a new pair of gloves for Muay Thai and am wondering if anyone has an opinion on any particular brand? Right now I have a great pair of Venum, they are vicious! I love them but they're starting to suffer a little wear and tear. I am looking for something a little more compact. I need to stick…

Superbowl
So... Super bowl is coming up this Sunday. I am sure many don't care.. I really don't care too much but do enjoy the gathering of friends. Being in New England I am a Pats fan so that helps lol! Anyway, it's always the same at these parties... Wings, chips and dip, cheese and crackers, little (frozen) meatball and usually…

Breaking up with your gym
I've been stressed out for a few days now. I have been going to an MMA School for almost 5 years. For the most part I love the work-outs, I love the skills programs and MMA training (kickboxing/boxing/Krav/Muay Thai). For the most part I love the members, sense of community, space and instructor. But lately I haven't been…

Muay Thai Gloves - Recommendations needed
Good morning! I am picking up a new pair of gloves for Muay Thai and am wondering if anyone has an opinion on any particular brand? Right now I have a great pair of Venum, they are vicious! Simply Protein Bars
I am not an advocate of protein bars or energy bars like Clif, Kind, Kashi, etc. I often times call them “candy bars on steroids”! Most are loaded with artificial ingredients and sugars. However, I did happen to find a brand of bars that definitely passes the Revolution Health standard of nutrition! I researched and I…

Need motivation? Here are a couple of ideas that work for me :)
I never, ever want to go back to my old unhealthy self! But I am human and just like everyone else I have days where I just don't wanna... Sometimes I feel like life in general was so much easier when I just didn't care about what or how much of something I was shoving into my mouth. I relish the days of eating a large…

Being authentic
I know that for many it's about calories in / calories out. Have weight to lose weather it's a lot or a little can be a daunting task with tireless effort and often times little results! But I wanted to post some motivational thoughts... There was a time when just the thought of eating something that I considered "off…

A habit or something missing?
Every night after my evening meal I simply have to have a sweet! It doesn't matter what the sweet is, could be a piece of fruit or a spoon of peanut butter. But I can't determine if it's simply become a habit or if I'm missing a nutrient. I'd say my nutrition is pretty rounded out with a good variety. I get plenty of…

The problem with having a garden
.... is that most of the raw veggies never make it into my house LOL! I spend so much time picking the vegetables and eating them raw right off the plant, warm from the sun with the nutrients still running through them! Even my corn... pull it off the stalk and eat it raw right there in the garden! So yummy, so healthy…

Carbs
I know there is no cookie cutter plan for everyone but in general, what do you all consider low carb, percentage wise?

Vegan eggs - question
Other than tofu or flax, does anyone know of a good vegan egg-replacement product that can be used for scrambled eggs (not just for baking)? Thank you!

Breakfast
I love breakfast, it's my favorite meal of the day. Each morning I wake up and am super hungry within minutes of waking! I always have a super early breakfast! Sometimes I literally wake up starving and want to eat the minute I roll out of bed haha! I could easily skip lunch and get the rest of my calories at night. Anyone…

A holistic approach to nutrition
For the past few months I've been studying holistic nutrition. More specifically, a 100% whole food plant sourced nutrition plan. I don't like to call it Vegan because let's face it... anyone can deep-fat fry some green beans and call it vegan! I have eliminated all animal sourced products (meat, fish, dairy, eggs) and…

Question for vegans
I am a recent vegan and absolutely love everything about it! I have two questions... one, I've become slightly bloated, obviously I went too fast adding double or triple the veggies I was eating before. I get that and I'm OK with it. About how long until the body adapts to that change? I Noticed that I haven't been as…

Looking for vegan meal prep and snack ideas
Aside from the general - beans/legumes/tofu/veggies I am looking for meal prep ideas. I like to prep on the weekend for easy heat up and/or grab and go during the week. I am also looking for snack ideas. Thanks so much!

A question for the vegetarians
Hello! I know there are many types of vegetarian diets so I guess I am trying to just get a general idea. Do vegetarians typically eat eggs? egg whites? Thanks.

Fitbit charge HR
I know there is a Fitbit community but I can't seem to access from my phone. Anyway, is anyone else having trouble with Fitbit charge HR double counting? I know it's not supposed too as long as you put in the start time, which I've been doing, but it seems like my burn number has almost doubled since getting it. Thanks!

Motivation
What keeps you motivated to keep up your exercise and nutrition routine? When you have those days where you're feeling like you just want to throw in the towel, what stops you in your tracks?

Just some thoughts
Just posting some thoughts that maybe some folks can relate too. A couple of years ago when I started this journey I didn't even know I was on it. All I know is that I was totally fed up with my nutrition, or lack thereof, with my on and off again exercise program. I was totally happy in my life... a good job, good friends…

The thing about scales
Here's the thing about scales. I think they're great if being used with common sense and a grain of salt. I used to weigh myself every day and would be pissed when the weight fluctuated up! It took a long time to learn that the numbers on a scale are only truly good for gauging a starting point and for tracking overall…

Weight lifting advice
I've been doing Strong Lifts and it's been going really great! Last Saturday I tweaked my back ever so slightly doing a dead-lift. I got the lift but lost my form on the way down - stupid! Anyway... my back doesn't hurt but it's pretty stiff and I don't want to strain it further so what would you all suggest? I can run, I…

Another SL 5x5 question
Hello, I have another question regarding Strong Lifts. I did them as scheduled for a while until I absolutely couldn't go any further. Then I took a small break, still lifted a few days per week but changed it up some. I just re-started again from the beginning. Is this OK or am I wasting my time? On another note, I can't…

What the hell do you mean the squat rack is out of order?
OMG... I walked into the fitness center at my work this morning to do my usual 30 minute burn followed by SL's and there is a big sign on the squat rack that reads "Do not use!" It seems that the ceiling over the rack had developed a big leak overnight so it was "shut down" while they repair the ceiling. I swear I almost…

Fitness Trackers
I have had my Fitbit for a couple of years. I love it... it wears well, has good functionality, is accurate and syncs nicely with my Aria scale, my apple devices and MFP. I thought I'd branch out a little and test out some of the new trackers that have come on the market. Here are my thoughts... I ordered the new Bellabeat…
