almond milk, PB2, protein powder questions
What is the difference between the almond milk you may find in the cold dairy section, and the almond milk you can find on the regular non-cold shelf? Does it matter if you're using it for protein shakes/smoothies? Is one better than the other? Where can you buy powdered PB2? I know you can get it online, just wondering…

another smoothie post
I know there's like 90 bazillion of them, but I figured I'd post again. We just got a Ninja. I told my hubby that I want to make some smoothies. Smoothies to him are like, 2 fruits mixed with ice, and you're done. I told him that I want to mix some other stuff in as well-- when I told him things like spinach, almond milk,…

What time of day do you go to the gym? How long are you there for when you go? Do you go alone or with someone?

RUNNERS: come here!
How fast is your average mile? How long have you been running? Also-- I've found that I really DO like to run... I'm finishing couch to 5k right now, and I find that in the first 8-10 min of running, I constantly think about quitting and starting again tomorrow... lol (I haven't quit.)--- do these feelings ever go away?…

c25k graduates- come here!
When did you notice that your speed was improving? Towards the end of the program, or after you completed? I'm in week 7 and I feel like I'm soooo slllloooww.... lol I know that speed will come as I keep running, but it doesn't seem to be improving yet.

Before/After Running...
What are the best stretches/warm-ups to do? I will be starting week 6 of C25k and I really don't think I've been stretching enough before I start... because I don't stretch at all :noway: So help me? lol. Tell me what I should be doing before and after I run, please.

I'm on W4 D2
I'm just wondering.... how do I know if I should repeat a week? Like, if I make it through all of the running times, do I assume I'm ready to keep moving forward? I don't want to base it on "how I feel" because honestly, I FEEL pretty great. Especially after W4 D1- I had no idea what to expect, and I made it through all of…

Running Questions
So I completed W1 D2 last night. I can't believe how amazing it felt. I didn't have to cut it short like I cut some of the running (like 5-8 seconds) on the first day. I tried a different route around the neighborhood which worked nicely because there are streetlights. Here are my questions.... If you can answer any/all…

REALLY wanting to do this...
Couch to 5K, that is.............. I'm afraid that I'll slack off. I used to be able to run forever, because I didn't have a choice (I was an athlete in high school). Our coaches would either run with us, or follow us in their cars (ha!) to make sure we were running. 10+ years later, I'm finding myself winded at…

weights for dummies
lol. I see lots of good info coming from the "New Rules..." book, but I'd like to know if anyone has the time to help me... How should I start? My husband pulled out and cleaned off his weight bench for me. What should I do, how much of it should I do, and for how long should I do it? I feel extremely weak already  I…

In "real" life...
Do people know your actual or starting weight? I'm so embarrassed/ashamed of my weight that I don't tell anyone. I've been told that it's weird not to share after having lost so much. Sometimes I think it would be good to tell people because then I'd be even more motivated to lose weight... but I'm more paranoid about…

Zumba game?
Has anyone found it to be effective? I mean, to get for the Wii or PS3? I can't go to classes as my husband and I both work long hours and alternate days off home with the kids- I'd rather do it in the comfort of my home anyway until I lose some more weight. Just wondering how people like it/how useful it is. Thanks!

scale obsessed?
How do you guys keep yourselves from weighing constantly? I know that it's not good to do, I don't need the reasons why I shouldn't do it.. but I weigh at least once everyday. I'm thinking about having my husband hide the scale (lol) and was going to try for once a week. I was reading some posts and I am seeing more and…

my intro
Hey everyone, I've been here for about 2 weeks. I'd lost a lot of weight prior to joining, but for some reason, since December, I ballooned from 199 up to 219. That gave me another jumpstart, I wasn't happy at 199, and I'm reallllly not happy over the 200 mark. I'm here and ready to get in shape-- I need to be healthy for…
