Help! Decided to go vegetarian but my husband hates veggies!
So I've recently made the decision to go vegetarian. It is something that I've been wanting to do for a while and finally made the move. My problem is that my husband hates most vegetables, especially cooked ones. This makes dinner at home pretty difficult. He does like some things: broccoli, carrots, green beans,…

If you like bananas and peanut butter...
Okay so it's not exactly a recipe, but I did this last night and it was so amazing that I had to share it. - Cut bananas into slices (no more than 1/2" thick) and freeze overnight - Put some peanut butter in a dish and heat in the microwave so that it's thin - I used natural peanut butter and put it in for two 30-second…

Tips for keeping yourself on track w/ healthy eating
We all have those days on our weight loss journey where we're feeling... hopeless? I'm talking about the days where the cravings for unhealthy foods are taking over, and you know you just can't give in because if you do then all bets are off. You say you'll just have one cookie, but that never really happens. :grumble: I'm…

Being more disciplined
I started my weight loss journey at the end of February and have managed so far to lose 40 pounds. However, I have been struggling since the weekend before my birthday (so since May 10th). In the past 30 days I've managed to lose under 2 pounds only. I know I'm capable of more than that. I looked back at my reports…

Using both a Fitbit and HRM to sync to MFP?
Hello, I recently purchased a HRM (that I used with the Endomondo app) and am considering purchasing a fitbit flex as well. Has anyone used these two devices together? I thought I saw someone say that they actually correspond well together and the fitbit calories burned adjusts when you do a workout while using the HRM so…

Scale at a standstill for 2 weeks
Hello, So my weight has been at a standstill for the past 2 weeks. I have started exercising a lot more than I was before (gone from doing the stationary bike for 20-30 minutes a day to walking at least 2 miles a day over the past 10 days or so) and I'm now burning a lot more calories than I was, and I usually don't eat…

Looking for friends: Nutrition & Weight Loss
Hello there, I am on day 43 of my journey with weight loss/nutrition/fitness and I am looking for friends who are using the same method as I am. I don't eat "clean" and I don't claim to, but I am not eating "diet" foods. My typical day consists of eating full eggs, full fat dairy, nuts, lean meats, whole grains, fruits,…

What are some changes that you have noticed in yourself?
I've been thinking this morning of some of the positive changes that I have noticed in myself since I started this journey 38 days ago, and I'm curious what others have noticed about themselves. I've noticed... - Greater, more sustained level of energy throughout the day - Stronger fingernails - More motivation to get up…

greek yogurt instead of mayo in chicken salad?
Has anyone ever tried this? If so, how did you like it in comparison? I'm a little nervous about trying it.

Calories burned on stationary bike accurate?
I do the stationary bike every night for 30 minutes with a pretty high resistance, but I feel like the amount of calories MFP says I burned seems really high, even when I logged it as light effort (I don't peddle overly fast). Has anyone else found this to be true?

Starting to feel great!
I'm on day 11 of my "lifestyle change" and I'm finally starting to really feel the effects of it. I have been eating healthy (REAL healthy, not fake healthy) and I have been exercising every day. I'm cutting out artificial sweeteners and I have stopped drinking diet soda and coffee altogether. I have been drinking water…

Trying again... the RIGHT way
Hi everyone, My name is Jenn and I'm no stranger to weight loss. I have been heavy all of my life, and during my freshman year of college (in January 2006) I decided that I was finally going to lose weight and go all the way. Well, in October 2008 I finally reached my goal, and lost 48% of my body weight... only to gain…
