Metformin sickness/low carb dieting

4 pound water weight gain from TOM?
This just seems really wrong....but thats what my scale is telling me. I know im retaining water from TOM, but it doesn't seem like this happens every time I have TOM....Advice, Suggestions? I work out 6 days a week cardio 45 mins to an hour. Keep net cals around 1200 -1500, and strength train 3x / week.

Do the contestants on The Biggest Loser eat all of THEIR exercise calories? They are so intent on low cal meals, but they are constantly working off calories.......so Im wondering what kind of deficit they actually have, theres no way that they could eat that much food, right?

Sauna
I use our infared heat sauna every day after an hour long workout. Should I be counting calories burned from the 30 mins of sauna use? not really sure how to calculate that...unless i just use my HRM.

Cottage Cheese Diet
So this diet apparently is only supposed to be a 5 day diet. You can eat only cottage cheese, apples, greens, boiled eggs, tomatoes, and lowfat yogurt. Along with plenty of water.
