I was wondering if it would be bad to workout AGAIN today.......I already burned 897 cals of elliptical this morn, and Im ready to do it again right now after a long day of work.....Thoughts? should I worry about not eating enough cals for that amount of exercise?

Listen to your body - if your body says you can work out again, why the hell not? I used to do it back when I was 17 all the time.
By the same token - if tomorrow your body says 'OK - I need a break now' - best you listen... the day after that? - well, you might need to be the boss
Regarding food - I have the same issue: I can easily eat, say 500 extra cals when I work out - and its not much effort to hit 1000 when I am working away from home (i.e. in a restaurant rather than eating out of my nice healthy fridge).. Anything over that I start wondering how the heck I'm gonna eat so much food? I think if this is your 2nd work out I would take a protein drink (half before, half after) or maybe a flapjack or similar if you don't like drinks? Its probably only 300 Cal but it will fuel the work out.0 -
It shouldn't hurt you to do this every once in a while. If you were working out a ton EVERY DAY then you'd need to eat more calories but it shouldn't hurt you if it's not a daily trend.0

If you are not starving after that kind of workout, I'd say you are just fine. I am famished after a workout so I have no problem eating them back.
Go ahead and work out again, just listen to your body. Also, make sure you are accurately guessing how many calories you are eating and working off.0 -
I kind of want to make it a daily regimen, an hour of cardio in the morn and an hour at night because my Doctor seems to think my weightloss should be moving faster. But I know I wouldnt be able to actually eat that amount of calories in one day...I already have a pretty big deficit. i basically only eat half of my daily calories even with a workout.0

Do you just do CV?
You might be better doing strength training in the morning and CV in the evening.
CV will make you tired in the day: Strength will not (and I personally get about 30 minutes of sweating post-workout which I HATE if I'm already dressed for work!)
Further more, if you build up muscle mass you will burn more calories in everything you do.
Strength training is typically 2 or three sets of 15 reps per exercise. The idea is to tone your muscles - not to grow them,
Note - you will gain muscle weight when you start strength training to look in the mirror, not at the scales! After a couple of weeks you should get an accelerated weight (fat) loss0 -
Yep I also do Strength Training. I do 20 mins a day. Im seeing a difference in the clothing and toning, so I must just be having a slow weight loss with the gradual toning of my muscles.
As for the sweat thing....ugh I do that too...it makes me HAVE to wake up even earlier just so I have time to shower before work lol0
