Lost 55lbs 2 years ago and back again
My before and after from 2 years ago is my profile picture But sadly a year later I would lose my mom very quickly to pancreatic cancer, two weeks after her death I lost my dog to cancer and the following month my cat to cancer. Then right before this Christmas, I lost my old dog to old age. 2016 was hard for me and sadly…

The last part of my journey was made! The biggest success of all!
My deployed husband came back! When he left, the next day was the day I decided to make a change. 171lbs.. Yesterday, the day he came back, I did just that and weighed 116.0! My goal weight was 125, but I went a little lower because he's been deprived of good food for so long, I know I'm going to gain a little -workout or…

Month ahead of my first 10k and injury
I am so upset about this. I have went from not remotely close to being a runner, to an avid runner. I took great care not to injure myself. Only ran 2-3 times a week, good running shoes, Hydration. Memorial Day weekend was suppose to be my first 10k and late last week I tweaked my knee so bad. I can barely walk on it and…

Fitbit calories earned
i usually get 400 calories or so when I complete 10,000 steps. While losing weight, I had myself down as sedentary and it worked fine. However now that I'm in maintenance, I saw that I was easily getting 4,000 or so steps doing everyday stuff and earning 100 extra calories so I bumped up my activity level to lightly…

Is anyone else's steps not syncing?
i can't see the correct total on the home screen but if I click on that number of steps, I see the correct number for the day. It has to be a syncing issue since its on one part of the app and not the other, right?

Weight fluctuations
I am in maintenance now, so my goals have switched from weight loss to fitness. With that comes new weight training programs, and more speed and distance in my runs. With that said: my weight has fluctuated all month! And it's completely normal. I guess I'm posting this because so many get hung up, in a bump up in the…

2 months of maintenance
today is my 2 month mark! 2 months ago I hit 116. Today I'm 119.8. I seem to bounce a lot between 116-120, and I'm perfectly ok with that. It took me awhile to realize bouncing around a range was ok. My husband recently came back from a deployment and is on rest and recoup leave so there hasn't been much gym time in 2…

maintenance for a month
today is my one month maintenance anniversary. I am still maintaining anywhere between 119-125. Which I am thrilled with. These last few weeks have been horrible, kids have been sick, I have been sick, my son had soccer tournament out of state and you can only imagine what that was like. lol. but here I am still…

Fitbit surge
Does anyone have one? I am in maintenance now, and had a flex. I upgraded to the charge HR, but my husband told me to take it back and get the surge. So I did. :) However, it seems to be giving me more calories for the same workouts the flex did, and when I ran 5 miles it took me closer to 10k steps. With the surge I ran…

How far below goal did you go before you figured out your maintenance?
My goal was 125. I have been adding 200 calories a week to my deficit and have lost about a pound in 2 weeks. I know this is normal but how much did you lose after reaching goal before you leveled out.

Taco night confusion
I am at maintenance now after losing 48lbs. However, this is the first time since I started I made tacos. The nutrition label says when prepared with lean ground beef the calories are 310, for just the shell and seasoning 150, and a serving size is 2--- if I used 97% lean ground beef, would I go by the count with the…

My newest accomplishment
I've been at goal for awhile and shared pictures before but newest accomplishment made, had me smiling for awhile. I fit into size 6 pants and a small top!

Fitbit
Is there a way to set your weight goal as maintain on fitbit? I only see deficit goals.

New to maintaining..confused
Yesterday was weigh in day and I reached 124.8, my goal was 125, and my starting weight was 171. So I exceeded goal (yay me). I switched mfp to maintain and my new daily goal is 1540. I worked out and with myfitbit was able to earn a calorie allowance of over 2000. My question is, do you eat all those or do you stay under…

Made goal weight and got a new dress to celebrate the occasion!
I actually am 2 ounces under goal weight. :) 45lbs gone for good!! I made it!
-
Same dress before and after!!
In this before pic on the left I was probably around 163. It was taken in March of 2014. The after was taken today at 127.4!

when did you begin transitioning to maintenance?
I am 4.3lbs away from my goal and eat about 10% below my TDEE for about 0.2-0.4lbs a week loss. Should I just leave it at 10% below TDEE until I reach goal or should I reduce it to 5%?

Ugh, fitbit confusion
An hour ago it told me I had 800 calories left. Myfitnesspal says I have 600 calories left Now all of a sudden I went to having 2 calories left on fitbit and I haven't even logged anything! I'm really about to stop tracking on there because it does it a lot. Sometimes it jumps and makes me negative but the next day I'll…

Mastered c25k and moving on to the 10k
Has anyone done the bridge to 10k after completing c25k? Is it really necessary to go back to running in intervals? Anyone who has been there, would you recommend just building off the 3 miles or really starting at jog 10, walk 1, repeat 4 times?

My progression from beginning to end
I lost some pics when my phone reset but these are the ones I had. Starting weight 171 Current weight 129.8-131.2 For those just starting, stick it out. I never thought I would be thin, healthy and fit again and here I am!

Transitioning to maintenance eating
I am 7lbs away from goal, and according to scooby my tdee is 2105. I'm starting the transition to maintenance by eating at 5% below tdee. To those of you who have made the switch when you reached goal, did you gain at first, or was the transition easy? I'm having a hard time convincing myself to eat so much..but I know I…

Fitness achievement for the week
I ran 3 miles at 5mph at a 2 incline in 35 minutes and some odd seconds. I have been hitting 3 miles but have always had to reduce my speed to get there and not today!!

someone said I was tiny today!
6 months ago was the last time I saw this particular person and then I was 171 pounds. Today I am between 134.5-135.6 depending on what the scale wants to say, and I have dropped 3 pant sizes and can now fit in a medium top. (I was xlarge) Anyway, she walked up to me and said "my goodness you are tiny!" followed up with…

I absolutely love the way I look in clothes now! 171 to 133!
I am in a 7-9 pant and a small or medium top! It's so fun buying new things and not having to worry about love handles because that layer of fat is no more!! Happy new year to me! ;-)

Pita Pit
We are getting a new one of these soon, and it's being boosted as a healthy fast food. Anyone been there? Just curious what it's like. I'm thinking subway-ish which to me, isn't really all that great. Thanks.

36lbs gone!
10 more to go for goal!

Is this possibly shoe related?
I have been jogging for a few months now and recently worked my way up to a slow (4.5mph) jog for 30 minutes. 10 of it is at 5.5mph. After my last run on Wednesday the top of my foot was burning and it's still incredibly sore. I have a good pair of Nike running shoes, so I don't know if this is shoe or if I injured…

i finally reached a healthy weight!!
my before. I started my journey at 171pounds at 5'2. and today I am 135.6! I still have about 10 pounds to go to goal, but I feel fantastic! i went from wearing a size 12-14 and some 16 in pants and extra large tops, to this outfit today a size 8-10 and a medium top!

People telling you, you lost enough weight
I've lost 33lbs, I was 171 and now am 138. As a 5'2 woman that is still 2lbs above the upper limit of normal. Everytime someone comments on my weightloss they almost follow it up with and don't lose anymore. Does anyone else experience this? Is it some sort of unintentional "sabatoge"?

Any other 5'2 women with a low TDEE?
I don't know if I'm doing this wrong, but I recalculated my TDEE and BMR and as a 32 year old 5'2, 139.8lb woman, my BMR is 1295 and my TDEE minus 20 is 1470. I workout at least 3 times a week. That's frustrating because the last time I calculated things I was much higher. No wonder I haven't lost anything in awhile. I've…
