Heavy Lifting - Free Weights vs Machine results??
I have done stronglifts for a couple months last year. I was never really comfortable with the use of free weights (always had trouble setting up and no spotter) Do you really think their is a big difference with results from one vs the other?

What to mix with protein powder?
I want to try doing a protein shake in the AM. What is good to mix with protein powder (liquid wise)? I prefer my shakes thicker, anything that will not make it taste like flavored water??

Lifting with no spotter?
I want to get back to free weight heavy lifting BUT I will not have a spotter like I have in the past (usually a friend and I would lift together). Would it be that bad to use a smith machine for bench presses, that is what I find the biggest issue when lifting alone

Since I am done long distance running training ( just ran a 10 mile race today) I am going to not run as much and focus only on SL as my main exercise BUT it will seem too easy/simple to only life 3x a week for under an hour !

I have been reading in some posts people saying to build muscle/tone that you need to lift heavy and maintain a calorie deficit. Any women that have done Stronglifts 5x5?
I am planning to join the gym starting next week when the kids go back to school just to do the program. Any women had good success with it? I like that the program is basic moves and should take me no longer then an hour (ideal with kids). I also run and plan to do strong lifts 3x a week and run the other 3 days.
