Leah’s OMAD Journal
I don’t really know what I’m doing with this but I figured I’d give it a shot. It might be nice to keep a little journal for myself since I’m not really ready to talk about it with anyone in “real life”. Female, 5’3, 36 years old SW: 213.8 lbs CW: 205.6 lbs GW: 140 lbs So...My name is Leah. I’ve got 3 kids and a husband.…

Mini goals?
Is there a way to set mini goals on MFP? Or does anyone know of an app like that? I don’t want to change my end goal weight but I think it might be nice to see how close I’m getting to my mini goals. Thanks!

When did it get easier?
I’ve only just finished day 2 but I’m already dreading tomorrow. Day 1 was easier than expected but today was much harder. I ended up getting a bad headache at around 2pm that never went away and felt nauseous and fatigued most of the day. I want to keep going but I just need to know that things will get better.

Is your partner overweight?
Is your partner/spouse overweight? If they are, are they actively trying to lose weight too? If they aren't trying to lose the weight, does it help or hinder you? My husband is 6'3 and 350+ lbs. He's lost weight before with me. I've always been the type to get on a weight loss kick every year or so, lose a little, then…

Beans!
What do you do with beans? Like easy recipes? Preferably lower calorie. I know that sounds silly but growing up we only ate white beans with cornbread. I'd like to incorporate more beans in my diet because I like them and I always need more protein. Do you just throw them in salads and such?

Question for people who had a lot of weight to lose
I'm asking for my husband who shuns all forms of social media and would never ask for himself. :) He's 6'3 and 344 lbs. MFP is giving him a pretty large amount of calories, a little over 2400. I know that generally you're supposed to make sure you eat close to your calorie limit...but will it hurt him to eat quite a bit…

For those of you who have been doing this awhile...
When did it become a habit? Was there a point when it became easier and felt like your new normal? Every time I have tried to lose the weight, I've only made a few weeks or maybe a couple months before backsliding. I'm feeling more confident this time but I can't completely ignore my bad track record.

Breastfeeding and weight loss
I'm hoping to find someone with some knowledge or experience with this. I've plugged in my stats in several different tools to see how many calories I need to lose weight but I've gotten several different results. It's doubly confusing to me because I'm a breastfeeding mother...but my baby is older (17 months) so he's also…

Commenting on friend's posts
Do you comment on all your friend's MFP generated posts, like the completed dairies and calories burned ones? Someone who I recently friended asked why some people didn't comment on them and I replied that I usually don't comment on those but I try to save my comments for the posts that the person has actually taken the…

Looking for friends
I'm recently back on MFP after a 2 year break (and another baby). Unfortunately, it looks like several of my old friends have gone inactive. :( I'm a 33 year old mother of 3. I've got about 40 lbs to lose. We are taking the kids to Disney next April so I'm hoping to lose the weight by then. I have a really hard time…

Seeking women with 1500ish calorie goals
I need some MFP friends with similar calorie goals so I can browse more food diaries. :) Please add me. I'm having some major issues with hunger. I'm sure the problem is because I'm not eating the right foods and I'm not a big meat eater so my protein is always too low. I keep hearing other women talk about being too full…

What matters more?
Which one matters more, how many reps of an exercise you do at once or how many reps you do total through the day? I'm asking because I'm trying to find different ways to sneak extra exercise into my day while I'm at work. Yesterday I was doing 15 squats every time I went to the bathroom, which is a lot since I'm drinking…

Is this ok for now?
You all know I just (re)started a few days ago here. When I first started posting I wasn't doing anything different and I was just trying to psych myself up to start. The past couple of days I've been doing better. I've not been gorging myself with food every meal. I've been eating smaller portions and looking for little…

Break down my excuses
I don't even know where to start... Ugh. Let's see... I come from a mostly overweight family. I don't feel like we really ate unhealthily, just too much. As a child I was a skinny little thing. I started gaining weight as a teenager..nothing too bad but just started getting a little curvy (I'm 5'4). Then I started seeing…
