Why are weekends so darn hard???
I haven't really lost anything since December, and I blame it on weekends. I don't know why it is so hard, but when I am at home all day with nothing really planned, I seem to graze all day long. I very rarely go over my maintenance calories, but I'm not at maintenance yet!!! I really want to get that last 20 pounds…

tubing
I'm going tubing with my family tomorrow - slide down the hill on the tube, then you have to walk back up the hill hauling your tube behind you - I"m sure I can count that as exercise, but any idea how to log it? We'll be out for about 4 hours.

700 calories...Really??? HRM question
I usually run for exercise, but added in weight training a few months ago and just recently added in aerobics classes - just to change things up a bit, keep from getting bored. So, I went to the 8 am aerobics class (45 minutes) and while my inner thighs were burning, I never broke a sweat, so I stayed for the 9 am class…

Edible Arrangements
My dear sweet hubby brought me a treat tonight. Not Ice Cream or Chocolate cake or anything too sinful, but an Edible Arrangements fruit arrangement! Sure beats flowers! I am sure I way over ate, but it was all Strawberries, grapes, and those adorable flowers made with Pineapple and Cantaloupe. I did have a couple of the…

Mmmmmmm...strawberries
Just thought I'd pass along...My Sam's club had driscoll's strawberries this morning and they are the BEST off-season strawberries I've ever eaten! Between my kiddos and I we polished off 2 pounds today. Hopefully someone others will have as good a find.,..

Epic FAIL!
I tried so hard to earn my Pizza dinner tonight - extra workout day today - 3 miles on bike, 1 hour of aerobics, then 1/2 hour of pilates...but I'm still over calories (and I just got veggie Pizza, not the fatty meats). Oh well, tomorrow will be better.

Homemade protein bars
So, my Mom came home from curves with a recipe for homemade protein bars. They were promoting it to be a "healthy snack", but when I put it into the recipe calculator, it calculates out to be more than 600 calories per serving. Am I missing something??? Here is the recipe: 1 jar all natural peanut butter 1 3/4 cup honey…

question for p90x folks...who also run...
I struggle with getting to the gym when my kids are out of school, so I was thinking next summer I would do P90X at home. I am planning on running the half marathon again in October. If I do P90X all of June and July (and the first part of August) will I be able to run the half in October? I was thinking maybe I should do…

feeling poorly
I wasn't feeling well this morning when I got off work (I'm still not), so I skipped the gym and haven't eaten anywhere near my calories for the day and it's all carbs b/c that's the only thing I feel like eating. I know when I think logically that one day won't hurt, but this is my first scheduled gym day that I've…

Losing belly inches
OK, so I have a question, since all you guys collectively know EVERYTHING about weight loss...I've lost 75 pounds - I'm only 15 pounds from goal - but I've only lost 2 pants sizes (18 to 14)...When I was on my way up, I think I was wearing an 8 at this weight, not a 14. Now I know not to get too wrapped up in sizes, but I…

half marathon complete, but BLISTERS! advice?
I completed my first half marthon yesterday (ran 5 miles, walked 8), but everytime I've gone longer than 10 miles, I get a blister on the bottom of my foot near the big toe. I have changed to double layer running socks, put vaseline on my feet...any other ideas? I really don't want this to be my last half, but if I can't…

ipod C25K - can you skip?
I am running/walking my first half marathon in October - I am thinking of trying the C25K ipod app, but I've already been running/walking for a couple months - I'm up to almost 2 miles, but can't seem to get that third mile under my belt. Has anyone used this app? Can I skip through the workouts until I feel challenged and…
