feeling poorly

I wasn't feeling well this morning when I got off work (I'm still not), so I skipped the gym and haven't eaten anywhere near my calories for the day and it's all carbs b/c that's the only thing I feel like eating. I know when I think logically that one day won't hurt, but this is my first scheduled gym day that I've skipped in 10 months...I guess I just needed to confess to make myself feel better...thanks for listening.

I know how you feel. I get Shape magazine in the mail each month, and one month there was a little snippet that said if you are sick or not feeling well, it's not good to push yourself to work out. They said you should take that day off or whatever and recuperate and then get back to working out as scheduled as soon as you feel better. I have to remember that and not beat myself up for missing certain things when I'm down and out. I hear ya!0

Well, first off, your over all health is what is important, so if you push when you're sick, it just runs your body down. Drink plenty of fluids (now, I sound like grandma) Congratulations, on being dedicated to your workout and lifestyle. Don't beat yourself up over one day, and when you are back to normal, start back in. You are doing great, so don't give up because of oneday. Hope you are feeling better soon.0
